âNot the worst, thatâs really mean. Thereâs worse food that all people create!â
wallacwestâ:
âYouâre welcome.â Wally chuckles as he looks at the applesauce then back to the kid. âI donât know how they get the color that way, Iâm guessing there is some food coloring involved. Iâm sure thereâs an organic version somewhere that doesnât.â
âI hope so, everyone keeps telling me that itâs important to eat more organic food than inorganic even though GMOâs help feed more people but actually arenât good for people- Itâs a really confusing debate. I hope I can find one though, this stuff is seriously wonderful!âÂ

â youâre welcome ! â  an immediate response of knee jerk manners / her smile just as reactionary.  however ; it faltered with a second inspection of the weapons. she reaches out gently. not wanting to immediately grab his hands,  but it kind of ends up like that.    â oh gosh,  here, please let me help put them on for you at least â  i mean, you should disenfect them first. not that iâm saying that your hands are dirty, gosh! iâd never imply that but uh . yeah. â her smile now sheepish,  but her hands are still grasping onto the others.
He tried not to flinch when she grabbed his hands but it happened and he could only hold himself rigidly while she talked. He didnât want to lash out, no. âYouâre fine,â he said. âYouâve given me bandaids you donât have to..â He hesitated for a second as he looked at the red crescents in his palms. âYou donât have to help me.â

It was always interesting to hear how different his son views the world than he does. He never really considered all the various book types, especially when it comes to fun books compared to classic literature. They were just all well books to him. âYou know that does make sense. I donât think a lot of people enjoy the language in those older stories. Shakespeare was never my favorite.â
Brandt pursed his lips, âThe thing about Shakespeare is you have to know how to read Shakespeare. All of his stuff in general is pretty poetic and follows a iambic pentameter. But once you get that itâs easy. I do prefer productions though, if good Shakespeare is done right it sounds like theyâre speaking todayâs English and not something from forever ago. But it is dated, I guess? I know a lot of people canât read stuff from the 1700â˛s forward because English was just so different and dramatic. To me itâs like this eye to the past about how people were thinking and writing,â he leaned in a little once he saw the sign for the book sale and put his turn signal on. âHowever, Stephen Kingâs work is ass- I mean trash.âÂ
spvcegalâ:
âTakeout is, like, a lifesaver.â Dinah said. âUh, I mean, sure? What type did you have in mind?â She paused for a moment before saying, âIâm, uh, Dinah, by the way.â
âOh uh, I didnât think about that. Chinese, since itâs your favorite?â He stopped then held his hand out to Dinah. âForgot about introductions, sorry. Iâm Brandt.â
aquxmxrinxâ:
âIt can be at times. I mean take this instance it could have formed into what I wanted it to be but then it decided not to and do its own thing. I always thought other peopleâs abilities were cooler than mine. I mean I have two brothers and a dad who are really fast and a mom who is a badass fighter and has great archery skills. Iâm sure what you can do is cool tooâ Aqua said. She always felt compare to her family her thing wasnât as impressive.
âWater is sort of like itâs own personality then? But yeah, I really understand how you feel. Everyone in my family had amazing control of their powers and abilities but then it kind of gets to me and itâs like.. rocky, I guess? I just donât have near the control that they do. But they tell me that training makes you better, no matter what it is youâre trying to improve on.â Brandt always felt.. on the side in comparison to his family, for a number of reasons but definitely his lack of control was one of them. âI can guarantee that water is a lot more fun than what I do.â
aquxmxrinxâ:
âTrue and hey itâs good to know youâre not part wicked witch or you could have just melted right now.â Aqua replied with a laugh. She felt good not having gotten in trouble. âI donât know how to really explain it because I donât know much myself. I guess I just take the water particles in the air and just make something or at least attempt to make something in my case.âÂ
âYeah, youâre pretty right about that,â he grinned and listened to her as she spoke, genuinely interested in what she was doing.  âWow, thatâs honestly really cool that you can do something like that. Everyone tells me water is a fickle thing.âÂ
ofresurrectiicnsâ:
âThatâs fucking disgusting,â Abe says reproachfully, taking a step back.
âWow, such harsh feelings over applsauce,â Brandt says sarcastically, âWhy?âÂ
luke-randâ:
âYou make a good point.â Luke admitted after giving the otherâs words some thought. âDoes your dad like vines? I think mine does or heâs just too nice and keeps letting show him vine compilation after compilation.â
He blinked a few times, âI actually donât know if my dad likes vines. I just discovered them recently..â Maybe he would have to bring them up to see. He didnât know how heâd just start a conversation about short internet comedy. âIâll uh.. ask.â
hapjordanâ:
âI have heard that Frankenstein is good, I know that one.â Hal hasnât read that much, but he does know at least one thing. âHey any book can be fun if you enjoy it.  What classifies something as a fun book?â
âItâs a good reflection for most things, answers all the questions on most English tests so it works. Itâs also really enjoyable especially for itâs time.â Brandt made a face when his dad asked that question and he actually had to think about it. âUh.. anything from about the mid 1990â˛s to 2010â˛s I would consider a more fanatical or fun book. Itâs not classic literature, yâknow? So itâs a fun book, most people can enjoy it,â he hesitated, âWell.. kids can enjoy it.âÂ
brxntjordanâ:
âI dunno, like a quart or something. Applesauce is applesauce so itâs good no matter how big the jar is,â Brandtâs eyes widened at the whoosh of wind but it didnât stop him from looking down at the jar in the speedsterâs hand. âItâs so pink, how fun,â he took the jar and popped open the lid before taking an experimental taste with his tongue. âThis is unreal..â
âYou got me there, I like the way you think.â Wally always appreciates a good appetite since he could eat everything in a refrigerator in one sitting if he wanted to. He smiles at the reaction. âYeah itâs pink, it tastes amazing.â He waits to see what the kidâs reaction would be, and it seems to be positive. âGood right?â
âI.. thank you I think?â Brandt was just.. hungry most of the time. it was hard to tell, he also just really liked food. âI donât get how itâs so good, and this color. Is there food coloring in it or is it just.. this way? Itâs sweet. I like it.â He laughed.Â
âSorry.â It was the first thing that came out of Aqua mouth after accidentally wetting the person in front of her. She didnât mean for it to happen but in trying to practice creating a small orb of water, instead came out a spurt of water wetting the front of who was standing in front of her. âAt least the weather is warm so youâll be fresh for the rest of day now.â Aqua said with a smile hoping to be let off the hook and not cause any trouble.
Brandt jumped back when he was splashed with water, effectively holding his coffee away from him. For a moment he processed what happened then just smiled, shrugging his shoulders. âItâs fine. Water never hurt anybody except for the Wicked Witch of the West. Plus itâs hot outside... but how were you doing that? It looks cool.âÂ
spvcegalâ:
âUh, not to be, like, boring and predictable, but Chinese is, um, probably my favorite.â
âHey thatâs cool too, all takeout is good takeout because then you donât have to cook it. Speaking of takeout, do you wanna go get some?â Yes, he was already hungry again.Â
wallacwestâ:
âHow big was the jar? Now thatâs the real question.â Wally answers with a grin, liking how excited they got. âIâll have to bring you some hold on -â He runs away real quick, but heâs back before they could blink with some in hand. âHere, try some.â
âI dunno, like a quart or something. Applesauce is applesauce so itâs good no matter how big the jar is,â Brandtâs eyes widened at the whoosh of wind but it didnât stop him from looking down at the jar in the speedsterâs hand. âItâs so pink, how fun,â he took the jar and popped open the lid before taking an experimental taste with his tongue. âThis is unreal..â
hapjordanâ:
âI suppose weâll learn what itâs about together.â Hal says, assuming that the book sale has it of course. Either way heâll make sure that Brandt gets to read it even if that means ordering it online. âYou like the classics then?â He asks, not that he knows whatâs good or bad since he doesnât read all that much.
âI like some classics, others are kind of bad and outdated. I donât like Of Mice and Men.. but I like Frankenstein, and the Scarlet Pimpernel. The musical is also good but misses a little bit of the charm from reading it. But I also like fun books... sometimes.âÂ
luke-randâ:
Luke laughed, âI wonder if someone will try to make yeet an official unit of measurement one day.â The idea was certainly amusing and who knew? Stranger things had happened. He quieted down to watch the younger one try. âExactly like that!â
âIf it becomes an official unit of measurement I feel like itâll confine the yeet too much,â he shrugs his shoulders as he thinks about it. âThe yeet is almost like a toss.. but less confined.â Brandt laughs, âIâm glad I did it! Iâll have to show my dad.â
trickedbitchâ:
âthatâs disgusting.â yrsa grimaced in response. âclearly better than yours if thatâs what your resorting to for entertainment.â
âI didnât know eating was entertainment,â Brandt made a face in confusion. âDo you.. not like applesauce?âÂ
