She’d done it under the pretext of just checking in, but really she just missed him. She’d never been a hero, and her inability to do anything during the fog attack had only confirmed that. It wasn’t a great feeling. Someone spoke to her and she raised her head. “Don’t worry, I’m fine,” she told them. “Just tired.”
“Are you sure? You don’t look fine to me.” Wally answers as he leans down best he could to sit next to the girl. “I know that look — sure you’re tired, but it seems to be more than that. You don’t have to open up, but I hope that things get better. Cookie?” He offers up the box to her.
