Boats stacked high in transient land this weekend.
Perfect day for the coolest trail yet. Harbor Mtn. and Gavan Hill.
Toughest guy from last weeks Highland Games.
Every time they hang the wet suit out to dry on the dive boat I immediately assume there has been some sort of harbor hanging.
BOATS - F/V Debbie Sue (a tender) - F/V Seaboy (a troller) - & F/V Coral Sea (a purse seiner)
Second Growth Structures in the Tongass National Forest
My good friend and boatmate Dan Sheehan - a timber-framer who has done work all over the country - volunteered quite a bit of time to help build a local bike shed for the community conservation society. A nice video summed up the project.

Boatmate Peter's gaynor off the roof of the ADAK.
Bout of sunny weather brought on days for jumping off the roof of both the roof of the ADAK and the Phalarope. (John’s boat - an intrepid investigator I work with.) The water was a balmy 55 degrees.
A true institution.
More bunker explorations out on the causeway. Found some big ones I hadn’t gotten to yet.
Fishing bounty - for the simple cost of the recipe and a demonstration of making my Cajun blackened fish tacos, dock neighbor Nick took me to a fishing hole where we pulled in two king salmon, three coho, a pink, and a chum. I am pictured holding up the ling cod Thom also caught the same morning.
Fishin comrade Thom - a true hero and drinking buddy.
Sushi party on the F/V Saturday with Cap’n Karl Jordan. Five foot long salmon roll with cream cheese, egg, cucumber, and rice. Nice sunset to boot.
Sun sets over the Reliance, Lucy, and the back deck.
Setting another subsistence longline this past weekend with Thom, Peter, and Lucy.
First trial: not guilty - both counts.
