Raising a brow, Cassie begun to chuckle before shaking her head. Sounded like much of a bummer. “Sucks but All Star is a hit,” she teased, knowing she hadn’t been the one to call in but the song was a torture when stuck in your conscience. “Sounds brutal to me. What kind of thing did someone deserve to hear Smash Mouth on constant request. Plus, that song is ancient, what time era is this person living in?”
“Let’s be clear here, I’m not dissing ‘Smash mouth’. I’ll admit I’ve had some good karaoke nights were ‘All Star’ was heavily involved,” Bryce confessed, with a shake to her head as she got some strong flashbacks to her own drunken-mischief. “I have no fucking clue at this point. At first I just assumed it was a dumb teenager having some fun, but this is a serious committed no-lifer.”

“You and I both.” Devyn mumbled as she leaned against the back of her chair. Her boyfriend was working and while she’d promised that she would stay at home, she decided to go out with a few friends who had only ended up ditching her. “Tell me more about this stupid fuck.”
Bright green eyes roamed over the girl. As she scanned over her, an eyebrow raised, as it had the tendency to do whenever she was focusing. “Something tells me you’ve dealt with stupider fucks than me today. Can I get you something?”

“Are you paying?” Lilith immediately asked before the brunette even had a chance to continue her statement. When it was done, however, Lilith sighed aloud and turned to the bartender. “Put the two of our drinks on my tab.” — It was the least she could do.
There’s a happy sigh. “Now that might be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard.” The so far concealed smile makes an appearance, automatically loosing her entire frame up. “Name’s Bryce by the way.”

Bryce: Fine.
Bryce: I just have to find something remotely fancy in my closet that isn't stained from redwine.

“You and me both,” Adam said, letting out an almost inaudible sigh. “Someone called the station five times to request Smash Mouth— really? Well, shit… Can’t you just block the number or something?”
She laughs. The chuckles sounding more distressed than anything. “It’s a long story,” she gently answers to brush his question off. “I suggest we just go straight to drinking.”
&. caiden bradshaw
“In whoever that was’ defense, All Star is a great song.” Caiden chuckled, blue eyes lighting up in amusement as he reaches behind the bar to grab the young woman a glass and pour her a drink. “Any requests on drink?” He asked her.
“I’m glad you like it. Tune into “Forever Listening” tomorrow at noon, we’ll be playing it an approximate of five times during our two hour show.” She really shouldn’t be showing that kind of attitude to the person currently responsible of her alcohol-intake. “I usually stick to beer, but I think I need something stronger tonight. Y’know what? Just surprise me.”
&. kendall covington
“Okay, don’t get too mad—” She slowly began, pausing as she took a sip of her own drink. “But it was me. You see, I have way too much time on my hands.” At the end of the sentence, Kendall couldn’t even keep on a serious face. “Man, all jokes aside, that sucks. I’m sorry.”
An unexpected smile formed. Without realizing so herself, those were the words she had needed to hear all day: ‘that sucks, i’m sorry.’ It was like music to her ears. “Thank you.” Her voice softer than it was just a matter of seconds ago. “Let me buy you a drink.”
&. eska koningin
“Something,” she answered wryly, “that’s for me to know and you not to find out. Just be grateful they’re not constantly demanding to hear Rebecca Black’s Friday — that’d be far more torture worthy.”
“As your friend I should probably ask you what you’re up to, but knowing your trouble-making ass I’ll close my ears and pretend like nothing,” she stated with a nod of her head. Tugging some of that thick brown hair behind her ears. “Please remind me not to get on your bad side, cause you’re truly an evil little shit.”
&. freya hawkins
“Okay, before I answer you, have you guys ever played Smash Mouth at the station, because if so it could be someone that lives around there. I don’t know i’m just guessing here. Fine, lets get a drink. What’s your poison, i’m paying.”
“Absolutely not. I can’t let you pay.” She looked at the doctor. Dead serious. “That would fuck up the entire system. I’m supposed to buy you drinks. That way I don’t end up feeling guilty about you having to listen to my whining. It’s a perfectly balanced give and take situation.”
&. serenity jackson
“You and I both,” Serenity responded, a smile lingering on her lips as the other went on, informing her of what she could possibly do if she didn’t get her drink. “Okay, whatever happened to caller ID, and blocking all blocked calls?” She asked, “that would solve the problem, then you’d know whose doing it. I don’t know how’d you track their location but its a start. Whatever tho, lets get those drinks, you look like you could use something strong.”
Bryce was offended that the girl thought she was so fucking stupid she hadn’t taken blocking the number into consideration. It was naturally the first thing she thought of when the issue occurred months ago. The caller wasn’t your everyday prankster though. They were an expert at hiding their tracks by always using a different number, impossible tracing to one specific location. The moment she opened her mouth, with the intention of explaining everything, the girl brought a far better offer to the table. “Yes. Please.”
&. adrianne thimothy
“That doesn’t sound all that bad to me — probably more entertaining than it is harmful.” She voiced her opinion while the other seemed to have directed her words towards the bartender. “Maybe he’s hitting on you in some kind of weird and mildly disgusting way.”
Stationing her fingers around the glass the bartender placed in front of her. Focusing on the ice-cubes floating around, she patiently let the blonde finish her sentence before shooting in. “I don’t wanna think about it anymore, I just needed to get it out there. Can we talk about something else? Anything.”
&. Danny Wells
“Could be worse,” Danny says, not even looking up from the paper where he was scribbling something at the bar, “Could be ‘What’s New Pussycat?’ because someone wants to make the Salt and Pepper Diner joke a reality for us.”
“That’s such a dumb saying? ‘It could always be worse’.” Jesus, here we go again. “I know it’s supposed to be comforting and shit, but it’s the complete opposite when you think about it. Like you’re basically telling someone that whatever they are feeling isn’t valid because it could be worse.” She clearly doesn’t seem to care that the other wasn’t interested in the conversation to begin with, having to air out whatever was going through her mind, per usual.
&. Kevin Roscoe
“Oh, come on! You’re saying it as if it were a bad thing,” Kevin teased, holding back a laugh.
“I’m sure as hell not trying to make it sound like a good thing.” She’s fully aware that she comes across as an uptight bitch, but if there’s one thing she simply does not condone people fucking with -- it’s her job. “How would you react if someone went out of their way to make your job difficult, just so they can have a good laugh about it?”
