“Hey Ser” he replied, “nope, a report that i wrote last night for a case am working on with some other doctors” he added as he answered. “How have you been? It’s been awhile”
“Case? What kind of case?” She blonde asked, her brows crinkling as she looked down at the paper, skimming through the words. “For sure it has, everything is okay on my end. My birthday, anniversary and my twins birthday’s are coming up, i’m a bit excited. What about you, what’s going on?”

The little librarian was like a child when it came to thunderstorms, and not in a positive way. She’d always found that kids either loved or hated them, and for her it was the latter. She recalled times with her ex where she’d forced him to stay in bed with her until they passed, and refused to go anywhere but the safety of the duvet in the meantime. “I-I was on my way back, is it okay if I cower here while it passes?” She half joked, a light laugh escaping her lips, albeit a nervous one. She watched the boys as they blew childish kisses towards her, and a real laugh came with a shake of her head. Libby waved to them, back. “Flirting, huh?” She raised her eyebrows. “God knows I need a bit of that in my life, but preferably from someone a little more.. my age.” The blonde chuckled. “You’re gonna have two very, very handsome and flirtatious little boys on your hands when they grow up. You scared?”
Serenity could sense the change in Libby’s voice, the way she spoke as if she was scared of something. But once it was revealed to her that she was afraid of the the coming storm, she nodded at the other’s request. “Of course you can stay, I wouldn’t deny you that.” She told the other, only to loop her arms with hers and pull her inside. “Do you want me to make you some hot chocolate in the mean time? I heard it is good for easing the nerves.” She added only to look at her boys, “yep, big time flirts, this is how they and their father get me all the time.” She shook her head, “hopefully you’ll find one, before I have to set you up on a blind date.” She teased, leading the other blonde into her living room, her twins following right behind them. “I know, I know. I am a little curious to see how they are then, but i’m terrified, like you have no idea. God bless the women that will come into their lives because i’d go psycho on her.”

“It’s probably better for you that way,” Ezra said with a nod, happy to hear that she made her own. “Well ain’t that the bees knees! I’m sure your children will appreciate the homecooked food when they’re older and realize how much time and effort and love you put into it. I live by myself but my cats are very much into the eating as well.” He laughed a bit at how many children she had. “Four, really? My mother couldn’t even handle one… That’s so nice, though, that they’ll have siblings to grow up and play with.”
“I hope so, I mean no complaints so far. So i’m guessing my cooking is good.” She shrugged her shoulder, “I try, I really do I want my kids to be healthy but I also don’t want them to miss out on great foods you know? Wait your cats are eating the same food as you? This is like my boys throwing some of their food down to the dogs.” She laughed shaking her head, “you should met my husband, had you asked him that question he would have shook his head then proceeded to tell you that i’d want a whole army. Which in fact is true, I want a whole soccer team so maybe around 12 if I can make it there. Hey everyone is different you know, I want a big family and I want my children to know how important family is.”

He lowered himself back towards his seat when she finally released her grip on his ear, moving further back against the booth so he’d just be a little out of reach, just in case she decided to do it again. “I’m not a child,” he reminded her, something he felt the need to tell people more often than he’d like to. A hand shot up to his ear, rubbing gently at it, though he could no longer feel the sting. “I just wanted to ask if you wanted another drink because I was gonna go get more juice, but now I don’t want to.”
Serenity shifted in her seat as she looked over at Casey, only to grab her bottle of water. “I know that you are not a child, but your actions were that of one. That is something I don’t let fly with my students, and my kids.....i’d make sure if they ever did something like what you just did, they would be grounded.” She told him, “I would have loved to get another drink, but at the moment, I feel hungry after all of this. Maybe you should get your juice.”

He hadn’t seen her reaction coming, though knowing her, he shouldn’t have expected anything less, really. Soon, she was extending her hand towards her, having him flinch just at the sight. He was right to worry, as her fingers moved to his take him by the ear, pulling just at his love. “Ow, ow, ow!” he exclaimed, lifting himself off the seat slightly so it wouldn’t hurt as much, even though it hadn’t really been that forceful. “I didn’t mean it, I’m sorry! I just wanted to ask you something— ow!”
As the male pleaded, yelling ow at her instant reaction towards his action, Serenity narrowed her eyes down at him, only to let him go when he responded that he didn’t mean to do what he did and was sorry. “Am I going to have to teach you some manners, Case?” She asked, “cause remember, I am also a teacher as well as a mother and wife. Such things won’t fly with me.” She told him, only to tap her fingers on the table, “now, what was it that you wanted to ask me?”

Ezra sighed softly and smiled in relief when she said she’d return his mason jar when she was done with it. He used mason jars for just about everything. “Ok, good. Next time I’ll have some jarred home made marinara sauce if you’d like some of that? Summer is a good time for cannin’ tomatoes, so they don’t go to waste or nothin’…” He laughed gently at how she spoke about her children. “Holding on is harder than giving, don’t worry, I’mma be alright around your things one and two and…?” he trailed off, not quite certain how many she had.
“Oh, i’d love that. But I make my own marinara sauce as well, with some fresh tomatoes, basil and thyme. I just don’t can it.” She shrugged, “but i’m sure you’d need it, after all it would be horrible of me to take some of your groceries.” She teased, “i’m quite the cook myself. In this house we all love food, can’t get enough of it. We stuff our faces, its disgusting. Me even more when I was pregnant.” She laughed shaking her head, only to smile at the male as he tried guessing how many little ones she had running around. “Three little ones, four will come around some time next year.”
“Excuse me can you please grab that paper before the wind blows it away” Jason asked a random stranger as he ran after one page of his reports that had gotten lose from his binder
Serenity was in midst of putting the kids in the car to head out for the evening picnic. She had just literally finished strapping the twins into their car seat when she heard the familiar voice, but instead of looking up to see who it was she turned to look for the piece of paper that was on top of her car. Stretching up on her toes she grabbed it and turn to the person. “Jason!” She exclaimed excitedly only to look down at the paper, “whats this, for your new book?”

Libby had truthfully missed Serenity for the short while the pair hadn’t seen each other. It felt like an eternity, if she was to be dramatic. She enjoyed her company, their chatter always lighthearted and easy. “Thunderstorms?” Libby’s voice cracked slightly; she hated thunderstorms almost as much as she hated clowns. She was abut to speak again, when a little boy ran out towards Serenity, and a soft smile was brought to her lips at the endearing sight. “Hi sweetheart.” She smiled and waved back towards him.
Leaning against the railing of her home she nodded when the other questioned her, “yeah, I just saw it on the news, had to confirm it on the app on my phone. Looks like its going to be an in a soon, are you going out shopping or what?” She asked the other, only to then look down at her son wave at the other women, not a second after Zak followed and joined his brother outside. Both boys were barefoot and in matching pants and t-shirt. Serenity laughed at the next interaction it was something Erik had been teaching the boys whenever he took them out, it was blowing kisses. Both boys then placed the palm of their hands on their lips and blew a kiss to Libs. “Uh,huh, their flirting with you.” She told the other, “your lucky Zak isn’t winking, next thing you know you two are going on a date,” she teased.

“Really?” Charlotte laughed and nodded her head. She couldn’t imagine having to be with the same man every single night and being able to keep myself excited for him. It seemed terribly long to her, but maybe Erik had something that not many other men did. In which case, she would have to be a little bit jealous. “I don’t know. I don’t think that I’m in a place to devote time to someone else. I’d rather be selfish and keep that all too myself.” She laughed and then tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Well, with whomever looks good enough frankly. I have a very active and hungry sex life, I assure you.”
“Yes. I love sex, what can I say?” She tease laughed, shaking her head at herself as she blurted that out loud. But it was the honest truth, she did love sex, and she did crave it. “And why is that?” She asked, “looks like i’m the psychologist for you. Come on, spill the deets.” She wiggled her brows at the other. “Great, so I am not only one. Cheers with coffee to being sex-o-aholics?”
He’d been trying to get the other’s attention for some time now—or what constituted some time in his standards—but to no avail. It was either they were well-immersed in their thoughts or was pointedly ignoring him, and convinced that it was the latter, he reached into his pocket to find what was once a wet napkin but now had hardened as it dried from the washer. Aiming for the other’s forehead, he threw it at their direction, but had instead landed on the side of their face. “Stop ignoring me, please.”
After her second marriage ceremony to her current husband, Serenity was currently lost in thought. Her birthday was approaching rapidly, as well as her first wedding anniversary to her current husband, not forgetting their twins second birthday. There was lots to do, and well lots of planning for boys birthday, and for her anniversary. She needed to start planning, and fast. But as she was getting close to an idea, a piece of dry paper towel hit her on her face. Her eyes widen as she looked over at the male. Instantly her hands reached over and pinched the other’s ear. “I am not ignoring, Case. But your a bad boy for throwing paper at me. I think you need a time out.”
Wes was deep in the assault of a middle-aged stay at home mom’s rant over how dangerous the bulldog was that he currently had safely on leash. She was going on and on about how vicious the animal was and how he shouldn’t be walking him in the area. Trying not to lose his cool and tell the woman to fuck off, he crouched down with the sweet dog rushing to lick him all over the face. “Sorry, ma’am, just really hard to hear you on account of this mean ass dog trying to kill me and go for the jugular,” came his smooth reply, not so much as a harsh look up at her. “Better keep your kids away, wouldn’t want them to get soaked,” Wes went on to warn sarcastically. When she huffed and puffed some more, not appreciating being mocked, and threatened calling the police, he shook his head. “Go on then. Pull out the iPhone and give them a ring. I’m only one of the top attorney’s on the east coast.” Finally that was enough to get her to walk storm off. Looking up, he shook his head again, “Some fucking people.”
It was a lovely afternoon for a stroll, well, more of a run for the blonde. The kids were home as Serenity was able to have Aiden and Julius over to watch her kids for a few hours. Erik was at work and well, Serenity decided to take his dog out with her. Cana was much more bigger compared to her daughters’ dog. With Cana on a leash, Serenity jogged beside him, earphones in her ear as she closed in on a familiar face. “Woooah, hold on there boy.” Serenity stopped and reached down to run her hand over Cana’s back. “Well, well, it must be Christmas. Wes, its good to see you.” She placed her hands on her hips. “Whose bothering you? I’ll cut ‘em.”

“Next best thing? Tell me about it,” Ezra said eagerly, hoping that she might stop inquiring after his chef friend… which was just himself. “It’s for you, Miss Serenity, that’s why I done brought it over here, yknow… But I’d appreciate it if I could get the mason jar back when you’re done with it, I always have a purpose for my mason jars.” He grinned and laughed softly at the mention of her little crew. “Aw, I hope the little ‘uns like it too, and hey, I’m fine, I can handle small children, long as they don’t take to climbin’ me like a tree or demanding piggy back rides all the time.”
“Hmmmm, I would but we haven’t really came up a name for it.......maybe later?” She asked, once of her eyes closed while the other gazed up to the ceiling as she was giving it some taught. When it was revealed to her that the jar of watermelon jam was for her, she couldn’t help but be excited over it. “Really? No, your kidding.” She exclaimed, a big grin on her lips. “Oh hey, of course I will give it back. I’d never keep someone’s container.” She continued before looking over her shoulder to her little trio. “Trust me you will, and you’d probably get phone calls from them about bringing some more over.” She assured the male, “well.....my lot does like climbing people, particularly their dad and myself. So i’d like to say your in the safe zone. And my daughter only asks for piggy backs from her dad and her uncle. So i’d like to safe your safe again. They steal hearts tho, so you better hold on to yours tight.”
charlotterenolds:
“That’s a good thing, though. It means that your sexual relationship is alive and well, which tends not to be the case. So, that means there’s maybe hope to this entire relationship thing, even though I’ve never quite believed that,” she said on a shrug. “I don’t have many, but I know how to keep a pretty good poker face and not to judge.” She winked at the other as she crossed her leg over the other. “What have I been up to. Having scandalous sex and talking to people about their problems, which may or may not be trivial at best.”
“Oh it better had be, cause that was not the case i’d have to tie my husband down every night. I gotta have some D in my V.” She bit down, her eyebrows shooting up as she mentioned her sexual need to the other. “Okay now this visit sounds like a session. Oh come on, why do people insist that there is no hope in relationships? I mean once did after I got married the first time around, to my first husband. And after I met Erik again my mind changed. I guess your think of it differently when you meet your soulmate,” She added with a small shrug of her shoulders. “Oooo, scandalous sex....with whom?” She narrowed her eyes at the brunette. “Now that last part sounds like you’ve written out a few prescriptions. And i’m guessing Viagra.”
charlotterenolds:
“I don’t think that you should wear clothes around the house, though when you have visitors — it’s probably better suited. But hey, I’m in your home so that’s up to you. I’m more than comfortable sitting across form you in any way or shape that you’d like.” The brunette grinned at the other. “Thank you,” she finally said once she sat at the table with her coffee.
“You see, that, that right there is why I like you. You agree with me. The amount of seconds in a day i’m naked in this house, its surprising that i’m not knocked up again. But I promised to wait till the twins were at least two to try again.” She blurted out, “wait is that the therapist you speaking or like you, you? How many clients do you have that sit naked in front of you?” She narrowed her eyes at the brunette. “Your welcome, this is my third cup believe it or not.” She poured herself another glass, adding just a touch of milk to color. “So how have you been missy?”

Charlie beamed at the pair of small boys who looked excited and relieved to have their toy back. He handed it to the boy who had been trying in vain to reach it since its little head popped out to take a peek, the other one seemed fine to just watch his brother play with it but for how long the man didn’t know. At her invitation, Charlie peeled his gaze from the boys to look at her and with a grin, he nodded, accepting the invitation.
“You sure I’m not intruding your uh, playtime?“ he asked, his tone lightly teasing. After all, he caught her wearing a doctor’s garb.
Once Levi had his toy in his hand he jumped in his spot only to move over to show his brother. The two then grabbing the arms and legs of the toy. “You know sometimes I don’t know how that thing is in one piece.” She thought out loud only to chuckle as she watched them run away with it, only to find their place on the living room ground with a bunch of legos.
At the male’s question Serenity couldn’t help but to smile, shaking her head. “Oh no, not intruding at all. We were going to play a game together once I finished in the kitchen, but they look like their fine.” She gestured over her shoulder to the two toddlers, talking and playing with each other, their sister sitting on the couch watching cartoons. “Promise they won’t set your shoes on fire.”

“Just a friend,” Ezra laughed and opened the jar for her, glad that she misunderstood his words because he’d misspoken when he was kind of bragging about himself earlier. He didn’t like to tell people right off the bat that he was a chef because they had a lot of misconceptions about him once they knew, or they were suddenly very kitchen shy around him. “Please, help yourself. I’ve still got more of this stuff at home myself, so I’m good.”
“What’s this friend name? Cause let me tell you, a friend of mines and I were trying to come up with the next best thing. And I kinda have an idea of what I want it to be.” She told the other, a bit excited but also a bit sad as she missed having conversations of such with Julius. At the mention of her helping herself to the jar full of watermelon jam, Serenity grinned. “Really?” She asked, “you know you saying that only means that your not getting this back. Me and my little crew are going to devour this with peanut.” She reached for the jar, only to hold it against her hip. “Hey you like kids right? Cause i’m pretty sure the four of us might be off the walls, you might have to call my husband home for an emergency.”
libby-rigby:
“You know, I think you should have.” She nodded, admiring Serenity’s outfit for a final time, before laughing at the explanation with a shake of her head. Libby truly adored her friend’s family, and a lot of the time often hoped that her lifetime dream of having a family would come true one day. “–does this mean I can play operation too?”
Serenity nodded looking at her friend, “i’ll take that into consideration.” She added with a smile leading the other blonde into her living room where the trio were sitting, pulling the pieces out with their fingers. “Of course, that’s if you want to be the patient.” She joked, “I am kidding, totally kidding okay. Don’t take that serious and I think we can play, as long as your willing to hold one of the boys, cause they...yeah...” she gestured to the boys, “will pull the pieces out with their tiny fingers....talk about diving in.”
