Sorcerous Prince

Niles picked the smaller up, throwing him over his shoulder. "It's time to relax now, to the bathes we go!"

Leo was minding his own, nose in a book, as he walked away from the library when Niles grabbed him. His book hit the floor and a startled squeak left him. “Niles! Put me down! I’m perfectly fine!”

“I need a reason for wanting to spend time with you?”

“I more meant why specifically the bathes, Niles. You don’t need a general excuse.”

The Mage sighed. “Of course that’s your answer... So what brought the want for this up?”

Leo sighed and adjusted his clothes when he was set down. “You’re the biggest pain in all of Nohr. I hope you realize this.”

“I am sure Owain had his reasons for not telling you everything. I understand if you are angry, and I’m not telling you not to be, but consider that.”

Leo couldn’t help the irritated look that crossed his face. “I am supposed to put my life in his hands, Ricken. His real name was never even said. Of course I am angry. My Retainers shouldn’t be keeping secrets from me."

“You don’t know? He came from the future with Lucina’s group. Technically he’s my son-to-be. I’m sure at this point he is older then me because of the time differences from our worlds. Honestly when you four showed up suddenly it was a complete shock. We had thought that those three had run off or… worse…”

Well this was anger inducing for the Prince. “No. He didn’t tell me a thing. Not about you, about this place, the people here. The fact the he is a Prince as well never reached me either." He really really wanted to find and smack the other blonde around with something. At the very least Odin was going to get an earful from Leo the next time they saw each other.

“You have nothing to worry about then. We all love Owa-…Odin. He’s just as much our family as his mother is. We’d sooner protect him then turn on him. The same could be said about you if you’d let us get close to you.” He chuckled a bit. “Besides, if anyone tried to hurt my son they would regret it.”

“Well good. I’d hate for Odin to get hurt like that." The last sentence made him blink. He tried to do the math in his head but it only confused him further. “What? He’s your son? But you look younger than he is. You look younger than my little sister."

“The only one huh?” He seemed to be completely in awe of the magic that Leo cast. A sudden thought came to his head. “I am really glad you are on our side. That spell looks painful. Beautiful… but painful.”

The blonde dropped his hand, letting the spell vanish. “Yes and only I can use it." He looked at Ricken before speaking again. “Don’t get me wrong but I am only cooperating because Odin seems to trust you all. I will turn on anyone that tries to hurt him though.”

“Brynhildr? No, I have never heard of that spell. Will you show me how it works?” Only catching what he did of it made him curious. Judging by Leo’s response the spell was likely native to the other mage’s world.

“It’s the only one of its kind.” He gave a nod at the question. “Certainly. Watch close." The tome opened itself up as Leo lifted his hand. He cast three spells, in each the trees were bigger showing the power of the spell. Leo cast another but this time held it in place and slowly curled his fingers. The branches on the trees grew and twisted, showing he could trap someone if he wanted.

Ricken walked into the training grounds holding his Elwind close. He was going to practice his spell casting but froze when he saw plants sprout from the ground. The mage was amazed by the spell.

“Leo! That was amazing! What spell book are you using?!” He hurried to the other man wanting to see it again.

The divine tome was still floating open just barely above Leo’s palm when he heard the other mage. The Prince looked over to him as Brynhildr fluttered closed and returned to his hand. “I doubt it’s one you’ve heard of. This is Brynhildr.”

Niles walked into the room with a crying infant. He looked helplessly at his prince. "What do I do?"

Leo blinked when Niles came in with the child. “What on earth…?” Having a little sister and a sister like Camilla he had some ideas on how to help. The Prince stood and stepped over to him. Carefully taking the child, he slowly rocked her and hummed a out a song until she fell silent. The Dark Knight looked up at his Retainer. “What did you do?”

“One night stand before I got woth you.” Niles said with a sigh. “Her mother just shoved her into my arms… Said she didn’t want her anymore.”

The words just made the Prince angry. But, to keep the child in his arms happy, he merely sighed. “Well the she doesn’t deserve children. Ever.” Leo shook his head. “What are you going to do with her then?”
