Family : Both her parents are Blacksmiths who met in Baldur's Gate and joined a mercenary band, they spent years in said band, fixing armors and weapons for their fellow soldiers. When they retired from this life, Kastyn took over their post in the band.
They are now settled in their own shop in Triel.
Her younger sister was born with signs of a draconic bloodline ( no one knows from which ancestor this gene came from, and it came up as quite the surprise ) and manifested a strong affinity with fire magic at a young age (which gave her a bit of a main character syndrome) , not knowing how to properly handle a young sorcerer her parents sent her to a tutor in Baldur's Gate.
She ended up cutting ties with her family after falling in with some Tiamat worshipers
