SKKBB'26 Writer Sign-Ups Open!!

Hello and welcome to Writer sign-ups for the Skk BigBang event!

Sign ups are open from now till MAY 24.

→ What’s a Bang again?

A Bang is a type of fan challenge in which writers and artists work together to produce new collaborative content for the fandom. In a normal bang, the writers sign up first and submit a maximum of 250 words - an excerpt and/or a summary - and the artists claim the excerpt/summary they want to create for, based on the info provided by the writers. (The writers will be anonymous for artists during claiming period).

The theme for this years Bang is Angst/Whump, which is completely OPTIONAL.

→ Who can join?

This event is open to writers of all abilities, in any stage of their fandom journey – a fun opportunity for the Skk nation to come together and celebrate the various relationships between Nakahara Chuuya and Dazai Osamu in all its variations.

→ What are the Writer requirements?

→ Writers submit an excerpt and/or summary of 250 words maximum when they sign up. → Writers must write a minimum of 3,000 words by the end of the event. → There is no maximum limit, but all works must be finished and polished by the final deadline.

Please Note:

A separate google form will be sent to your given Email ID's on MAY 25 - the start of the summary submission period. Kindly ensure that you fill in your summaries with the necessary information, as instructed, before the submission period is over (JUNE 03).

If you do not send in your summaries within the given time, you'll be removed from the event. However, you may come back for the next one, or sign up as an artist, pinch-hitter, or beta-reader.

An Ao3 account is mandatory for participating as a writer.

Hello!

I just wanted to point out a small error in the current event card. For BSD-RimLaine week it says the posting period ends in June, however the blog itself states that the even will be held in July.

Sorry if this seems rude, just wanted to point it out 🥲🙏

ALSO BIG THANKS FOR THIS ENTIRE BSD BLOG, ITS BEYOND HELPFUL YOU HAVE NO IDEA.

Hi! It's not rude at all, I appreciate you reaching out 🧡

It is put that way to indicate that this is the period before the event itself starts and is thus marked "Creation Period" as people will usually take time from when prompts are released to work on projects until the dates of the events itself. Once the event actually begins, this information will be updated (willing that I both am online and remember on the actual day)

So the "Creation Period" lasts until June 30, at which point it will become "Posting Period" from July 1 - July 10.

I hope this clears up any confusion as to why it is listed this way!

As of 2026 there was a Twitter RimLaine week but I'm making this one here on Tumblr.

The event will take place in July for the first 10 days of the month. Which isn't a week, but pretend it is.

ANY RimLaine content will be accepted (other than ai)! I can't stop anyone from using AI and I discourage it. I will not reblog any work that features AI.

Feel free to ask questions or concerns. Just know that this blog is a Don't-Like-Don't-Look kind of place.

Hello everyone~! My name is Crystal Heart and I’m going to be your host for this adventure!

The Skk BigBang is finally getting started!! Here’s some important information regarding this event:

Q. What is a Bang?

A bang is a type of fan challenge in which writers and artists work together to produce new collaborative content for the fandom. Unlike last year, this year's SKKBB will be a Normal BigBang where writers will sign up first, write a summary of the idea they want to create for, and then the artists will choose a writer based on the summary provided to work with.

This event will have an OPTIONAL theme, which will be voted on by everyone. The Theme Voting Form will open tomorrow and will run till April 20. You may choose to either run with the theme or choose to discard it and create something entirely new, it's upto you! Whatever you decide, it'll definitely be interesting!

Q. Who can Participate?

This event accepts writers, graphics-makers, comic artists, traditional artists, illustrators and cosplayers. Whether this is your first time participating in an event or you’re a fandom event veteran, it’s all fine as long as you’re 18+, interested in meeting new friends and providing new content for the fandom! This is NOT an NSFW free event, so NO MINORS allowed.
