Summary Submissions

I have a question! On the signup form it asked me to list pairs I liked and pairs I didn't like, but the email I just got told me to write a summary for what I want to write. Should I give summaries for the different ideas I have for different pairs? Because what I would write would depend on which pairing I'm writing for.

You only have to pick one pairing (ie the story you will eventually end up writing).

The way this is set up is so that writers may use whatever concepts they want, and artists will later on be assigned to them. You could even submit multiple summaries, if you want, but be sure you can handle writing the fics for them!

Recently, some rumors regarding us and the BSDBB have been flying around that we'd like to clarify before they get any bigger.

The BSDBB ran last year as the SKKBB, before rebranding as the BSDBB this year and including genfic in addition to SKK. We've caught a few people claiming that us and the BSDBB share the same modteam or are partnered, neither of which is true.

Several of the mods did participate in the SKKBB last year, and at a few points a partnership between our events was considered, but ultimately decided against. Also, our early modteam did include two mods who also staffed the SKKBB, but both left our team before the event kicked off—and even were they still here, it'd be because they were our friends and people we trusted, not because of any inherent affiliation with the BSDBB.

Another matter we'd like to clear up, though it isn't our event, is the status of rarepairs in the BSDBB. We won't speak for them or their reasoning, however, in the interest of giving the full range of information, we think it's only fair to say that we specifically requested they not include rarepairs in their event for one year, to give our event room to breathe. Any further concerns or questions about it should be taken up with them.

So, while we've had interactions in the past, us and the BSDBB are seperate events and in no way affiliated. Please double-check before making judgements or spreading rumors, it doesn't take much time and we're always happy to answer questions.
