Richtofen stands up quickly and grips your wrist with his gloved hand, stopping you dead in your tracks. “Do this once, and I shall never mention it again.” You always forget just how serious Richtofen was capable of being, staring at him as his hand continues to grip your wrist tightly. You wonder briefly if he’s feeling your pulse.

“You promise?” You narrow your eyes, yanking your wrist out of his grip and massaging it with your other hand.

“Natürlich.” He nods, “I promise.” He smiles, and this time it reaches his eyes. “
