it started as a drawing of Sasuke in a jacket but then... ā”
I know in my heart it will never happenā but I hope. I hope.
I donāt talk
When you hurt me.
I let you watch my face crumble
And my eyes widen
I believe youāll understand
the quiver of my mouth
And
the twist of my neck
The quiet does incredible things
for me,
I donāt have to talk.
I donāt have to explain.
I can become blind and
Taste
And know
Silence
And call her
By her real name
Why canāt you?
Why do you keep calling
my name?
I am hungry,
so I search for food.
The pots
are boiling
on the stove.
I am not hungry
anymore.
I love you,
Mom.
I love you
so much,
so
much
as
you hate me.
I lie in bed and they come.
Born from nothingā
Those small arrows pierce my head.
I can do this and this and this. And then this and this and this will happen.
And then this and this and that.
And then this
And then that
And then
And then
And then
I stop.
I canāt sleep.
I lie in bed
those sharp red points drop,
And they clatter, roll around, hit each other
until they lie
on the floor,
blinking.
They go back to their placeā
my fingertips.
One
by
one.
They sit there, knowingly waiting.
I close my eyes.
And then they ask me.
Why
not?
Why not?
Why not?
Why not? Why not? Why not? Why not? Why not? Why not? Why not?
I canāt stop.
I canāt sleep.
A feeling of loneliness often haunts my everyday life. I have few friends. Some I like. Some I love. Most of them I don't see very often, and even when I do, it's fine. Nothing exciting. I drift into their hobbies and interests while I'm left alone with my love for other things.
I've gotten used to this lukewarm life.
But then something happens, and I read something really good. It could be a book, usually a fanfic, and it's so goodājust my type. It ticks every single box, every requirement, and suddenly I'm not lonely anymore.
No, I'm in bed at three in the morning, giggling and kicking my feet. The outside world is quiet. Nothing exists but me and this new thing I found.
And then I wonder if that's what falling in love feels like. Never lonely. Always excited. Wanting more. But I look at menāGod, I look at themāand I think, No one could ever make me feel like that. How could they compare?
So here I am, forever destined to live in that floaty loneliness until I come across another good thing to read that's just my type, just what I need, and then start all over again.
My review of This Is My Church by Sasha Avice
āļøāļøāļø
I genuinely don't know what the fuck I just read, but I kind of... liked it?
It was well written, I reckon. Lacy and Thad were crafted nicely. The book is packed with scenes and steadily unfolds, which I loved.
The dialogues absolutely blew me away. They were so good!!! The structure of the story was great, too. I loved how we fell in love alongside them. When it came to their "romance," the book flew.
It was terrible at everything else though.
I think the main thing that disappointed me was how anticlimactic everything was. The gangbang revelation. Their first time. Everything in between. The book is filled with drama, antics, and shocking revelations, yet almost none of them lead to dramatic actions.
Which also made Thad's character development feel unrealistic, and that was a shame because I genuinely liked the story and the writing.
Listen, you can't sell me a good old virgin church boy who's never touched someone in his life, let alone himself, for whom sex is so far removed from everyday life, and then expect me to believe he's completely okay with the gangbang scene. Let alone fucking in front of everyone.
In short, it just couldn't happen, no matter how open-minded our churchy is.
The fact that he suddenly becomes a pro top despite having zero experience, asks no questions about gay sexāor sex in generalāis such a massive plot hole (pun intended) that it ruined Thad's entire character for me.
Now, when it came to their miscommunication throughout the book, I usually hate it and consider it lazy writing. But then I started thinking: these are men. And yeah, they absolutely wouldn't communicate about the deep and important stuff.
"Let's eat and fuck."
Very realistic, in my opinion.
In conclusion, I have absolutely no idea what this book was trying to be, but I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it very much. It wasn't the greatest love story, and parts of it made me question myself and everyone around me, but Lacy and Thad were cute, and somehow that was enough.

My review of āHunt the Villainā by Rina Kent
āļøāļøāļø
One sitting, people.āØONE. FUCKING. SITTING.
How does Kent do this? What are these magic sprinkles sheās sprinkling into her writing???
Iāll tell you what it is.
Build-up.
Kent builds the fuck out of her stories. The tension never drops. They donāt get together until the very end. Thereās always another secret, another reveal, another reason to keep going.
And the worst part is that I usually hate this kind of writing.
All the clichĆ©s are there:āØāHeās my drug.āāØāIām addicted.āāØāNo one touches you but me.ā
And yetāhere I am, slurping it up like Vaughn slurps Yulianās cock.
Honestly⦠crazy times we live in.

My review of āTo Kill a Mockingbirdā by Harper Lee
āļøāļøāļøāļø
To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the greatest titles ever given to a book.
I know a lot of Americans read it during high school and learned a lot from it, but Iām not American, so my POV is from the outside.
Now, Before getting into the thematics of the story, I want to talk about the writing.
Harper Lee is a magnificent storyteller and writer ā- so much so that my body shakes with envy. Her prose is as delicate as it is simple. She doesnāt overdo poetic lyricism, but she also doesnāt fall short of clever wordplay and dreamy descriptions.
I was rather surprised by the structure of the book. Every chapter felt like an episode from a TV show. In the first part especially, no scene really felt connected to the next. At times, it even felt like characters were introduced exactly when needed to move the plot along, which made the book feel a bit too crafted. It was confusing at times and disrupted the rhythm but despite everything, Harperās use of scenes and quick transitions made the book fun and engaging to read.
Also, can I just praise Harper for writing from the perspective of a five year old girl ??? and making it believable???? Thatās insane! Almost all of her characters felt genuine, lively, and real.
Harper built herself a small town with its own system, history, and people, and showed it to us through the lens of a young girl. How could you not like the world she created?
But that world does have its flaws, and they become most evident in the second part of the story.
Harper has her beliefs and views about the world, and she was not shy about showing them. I donāt mind when writers put their agendas into their work ā I even expect it ā but I donāt like to be lectured. I donāt like when itās shoved in my face without giving me space to think for myself what is right and wrong. And especially, I donāt like when a writer uses their characters to make a statement. It always feels like a betrayal of the characters.
In Harperās world:
Black = good.
White = flawed.
Black = hopeless people with nothing but good intentions.
White = complicated ā some good, some not.
And in my opinion, for someone who wrote a book against racism, thatās one of the most racist things you can do.
Even the oppressed are complex. Not everyone is good. Even within the Black community, there is conflict, there are flaws, there is humanity in all its messiness.
The whole ācourt sagaā felt unrealistic and too easy. Even though Harper built it beautifully ā Atticus struggling, the town gossiping, Scout stepping in, the courtroom itself ā all of it was masterclass in writing. But the lack of complexity ruined that entire section for me, and at times, the book as a whole.
Now, the characters ā thereās not much to say except how much I loved them.
Scout is a dear, dear soul to me.
Jem reminds me so much of James Potter that my heart exploded.
Atticus is such a hot daddy I could snack on him for hours (though his extreme views sometimes made me want to smack him. Some people are bad, Atticus. Not everything can be explained away with empathy.)
The whole Boo Radley storyline was heartwarming and satisfying. And the town itself felt like one big, messy family I had the pleasure of living with for a while ā which was probably my favorite part of the book.
At last, I do recommend this bookāif not for anything but my good friend Scout, and for the strange, beloved family she calls a town.
