Cuz there boring, old, and have no carisma. It kinda explains why losing consultants and partners was not that big of a deal. Also, Jessica and Harvey got something going on. But I agree with your point. The show could use more secondary themes like how Howard use to be joke-on-the-side type of thing. The show could definitely use more of that.
