Here it is, the beginning. The beginning of a mid-format, all genre-encompassing, anthology book.
I’m calling it suggestion box cause that’s sort of how I want it to operate. I don’t want it boringly filled with only work by me, though I’ll be in it most times. I want my friends and anyone else who wants to join me, to send in as much personal art, writing, comics, poetry, sculpture, photography, collage, design, pretty much whatever your preferred medium as long as it can be showcased on a flat piece of paper. Please send said artwork to the email I’ve put in the tumblr description section.

As this is my first post, not sure how this whole book thing is gonna work yet. Or if anyone will actually want to join me on this journey, especially from the get go . I can tell you I will have my literal real life suggestion box open at any con I end up attending, Las Vegas Wizardcon, March, 18-20th, and the email will be open 24/7. I plan on doing this in a seasonal fashion, quarterly for you business types. In a page format either exactly that of a comic book or very similar. So, think scaled down 11x17. This date, 2/10/16, marks the first day I will accept submissions. And the deadline for issue one submissions will be the last day of spring, 6/19/16. Then I will go through every last email and artwork sent and decide on wether to include it in the book or not, might rely on a friend to help decide or put it to a vote. Not sure it this will be full color or B&W or if I’m gonna put limits to the amount of pages you can take up. That will be decided by the turnout I get for this first issue.
This tumblr, while serving as a makeshift homepage will also serve as a place where I can showcase all art submitted, whether it be in the book or not, interviews of published artists from the book, and maybe perhaps some contests pitting artist against artist, genre against genre, original against reboot. Participation is not mandatory and prizes are not guaranteed. Since this is just the beginning of it all folks.
