i think so many modern problems are caused by this entitlement that we're, like, not afraid of a moose coming for us, so we just make up problems.

Why does harlequin no stay consistent across all breeds? Like why does female circus not get diamonds on the hind leg while male do? And why does male skydancers get the diamonds but females don’t? Why can’t we all have diamonds on the butt?

As stated below, the gene is *asymmetrical* and depends on which way the pose is drawn to face. it is consistent across all breeds and poses. it's easiest to notice on Aberrations, where you can see they have the same markings on the same sides thanks to the female pose being head-on.

edit: now that I notice it, the head markings vary by breed regardless of the way the poses face, and might be an error, a concession due to the poses facing the same way, or a "we felt like doing it this way on this breed" deal. the body markings, however, are consistent.

Hey so I was curious about the whole grape naming thing and a theory that staff were using some sort of word filtration system that automatically updates for new slang. I'm personally not so sure about that as I now possess a dragon called "Corn"

hahaha no, that's not how those work. grape has been a banned term from neopets for decades because its filter saw a certain banned 4-letter word in it. it's nothing weird, it's a safety mechanism so people won't abuse a workaround. those filter lists are updated manually, or they have wildcard/partial word settings that find banned words inside of perfectly innocent ones. an example is if you ban "moth*" so you could avoid the insect moth, in some systems you're going to filter "moth" and "moths", but also "mother" because it's banning all words that start with "moth" due to the asterisk.
staff has mentioned offhand that they manually update the word list on many occasions. for a moment, imagine how genuinely stupid a dynamically, automatically updating list would be *just* to seek out new slang. it would need to draw data from a database that collects from outside sources for terms to ban, using information that isn't easily able to be curated before implementation and likely has biases that could ban harmless words or hurt others by banning words used by marginalized folks. plus, languages evolve so fast it wouldn't be able to keep up without compromising its quality.
We have bumblebees, bats and butterflies as Effects, but no MOTHS, DRAGONFLIES and BIRDS!

not really. many 'aesthetic' lairs fit what light's general themes are (angel-adjacent (eyes out the wazoo/halos/wings on wings), greco-roman (architecture, clothing like togas and laurels), 'ritualistic' (herbs and drapes, incense, smoky brown hues), gold colours and jewelery) and so it's usually a buffet of choices due to hitting so many sweet spots.
I honestly think staff is well meaning but uneducated. Hence why we've gotten some not so great lore from them before, and the fact that they said the new UI followed accessibility standards that it didn't, and now not banning people like A. I don't think they have some secret bigoted agenda I think they're just in over their heads sometimes

You can commision a custom skin for RLC, but must provide the blueprint or pay the blueprint cost in gems.
it only becomes RMT if you are buying an item that exists on site (like an already existing skin) for RLC. if you are commissioning the art or recolour, and it's not been made into an item, you are safe.
you could suggest that every user gets cookies and a puppy and c from plague would make sure to let you know they don't support it

I put in a ticket around a month ago about being scammed out of art. staff banned the person but never gave me my stuff back. this was around 60kg worth of stuff. staff closed my ticket as soon as they were like "well look into this" and I asked for updates, they never gave me any and I've been asking "am I getting the stuff I was scammed out of back" and haven't gotten a reply in over a month. what do I do

open a new ticket and link to your old ticket, asking about resolution on the items you didn't get back. you will need to prove that all negotiation and valuation was done on-site with links to forums or messages- off-site negotiations like on discord will not apply here as they can't moderate anything communicated off FR. link to the trade you sent the items and currency in to that other person, showing what was traded.
I can't guarantee this will work, but this is the best I can suggest. if your ticket was closed and you didnt get an explanation (which you wont always get dependingon situation), ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS submit another ticket.

anonymity and allowing namedrops brings out the worst in people. ARR was not without flaw, but it served the important purpose of information- something SMR sorely lacks far too often despite mods setting rules for proof- at the price of people emboldened to say and do horrendous things. it was hardly ARR's fault for the actions of people who don't know how to be decent living entities, outside of providing information and allowing a space for conversation. the mods did what they could, but it's an exhausting job.
it only takes a few unrelated, cruel people to ruin something, no matter how good it is.
oh damn, ARR is GONE gone? They didn't even leave the posts up?? I mean I get wanting to delete pointless bickering but ARR was more than that, a lot of FR history was also preserved on there so... I guess we must use archive.org for that now...? God, even the original old AR is still up. And I want to emphasize that while everyone is within their right to delete the things they own/post, if it's something content-heavy with years and years of contributions (yes, even a drama community) think about media preservation for 2 seconds holy fuck. Well anyway I wish the ARR mods the best, no shade to them I just think hitting the delete button was a bit of an overkill move; maybe one of these days, ARRR will be created and the cycle may begin again.
