If you have a cat (or two, or four) please go find it and take a deep whiff of its furry head. No really, please do it, we’ll wait here…

You may have just discovered (or perhaps you already knew) that your cat’s head smells divine. If so, you aren’t alone. Some cat owners have likened it to “the smell of sunshine,” “a futon that’s been dried in the sun,” or “sweet bread.”

The Yamamoto Perfumery is so aware of this fragrant feline phenomenon that the head of the company spent four months at cat cafes carefully sniffing researching this sublime scent and recreated it as a bottled fabric spray, which has just been released by Japanese mail-order retailer Felissimo (previously featured here). Now you can purchase 3.4 oz bottles of ‘Mohu Mohu Odeko no Kaori’ (Fluffy Forehead Fragrance) in order to enjoy the sweet smell of kitty cat brows when your cats aren’t nearby to be sniffed directly.
