I can't believe some oeople still don't believe they're engaged.. how much more in denial can you get
Yeah I noticed some people still insisted that the “ring scene” was platonic. I guess they said so because Yuuri said it was just a “lucky charm” and also as a sign of gratitude.. Okay, someone already made a whole explanation about lucky charms (omamori), but now let me rant about it a bit more in a different point of view.
First of all, it’s a freaking wedding ring. You don’t buy your friends wedding rings. Yuuri could’ve chosen a more platonic gift like, I don’t know maybe a super expensive watch? A simple friendship bracelet? A fancy pendant?? I don’t know, it can be anything. But guess what, he chose a wedding ring instead. Hmmmm I wonder why???
And remember that the ring was expensive af. He had to pay for it in installments. With his own money. I don’t know about you, but if I ever wanted to give something expensive as a gift, I’d make sure to actually have the budget for it so I can make a full payment and be done with it. But nooo Yuuri wanted that ring specifically for Victor so much that he was willing to spend money every month to pay for it. Again, I wonder whyyyyy
After he bought it he could’ve just given it to Victor right then and there at the jewelry store but nooooo he chose to drag Victor all they way to a church which is totally not a romantic spot at all nope and gave the ring there being all doki doki and blushy blushy… yep totally not gay at all. Also did I mention that he slipped it onto Victor’s fucking ring finger. Of all fingers he chose that one. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder whhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
And did they also forget that Victor returned the gesture?? He literally already bought a ring for Yuuri beforehand… and he chose that moment to slip that ring onto Yuuri’s ring finger too.
They were exchanging rings.
They’re fucking engaged.
Victor literally said they were engagement rings.
There’s nothing “no homo” about it.
