Filming day number 2 (assignment 4)
Beyonce the tech support part 2
“why are you on the floor”
“because I’m sick”
When I said that I was sick, I thought I was just over exaggerating and being a drama queen little did I know, I actually had a fever of 38 degrees :”)
Filming day number 2 (assignment 4)
Well... I don’t have many pictures for the second filming day because I was dying. Too tired to take pictures... On this day I had a fever but I didn’t know until after Zhi Hin and Beyonce left. This is why you should take care of yourself kids... I spent most of the time lying on the floor and whining about the pain I was in BECAUSE I HAD SUCH TERRIBLE DIARHHOEA and a headache. If I did not have 24/7 access to a toilet, I would have simply died :D The next day I went to the doctor and got medicine though !!
Filming day number 1 (assignment 4)
Featuring Zhi Hin the director and Beyonce the tech support !!
Beyonce had to climb up my bunk bed and set up everything. Interesting layout for an installation!! We did everything in my bedroom. People kept walking in while we were setting up sooo we had to lock the door when we eventually set up the wires for Makey Makey (we used tape to stick the Makey Makey to my door).
Filming day number 1 (assignment 4)
This was the first time we filmed for assignment 4. We managed to finish everything in a day which was so shocking. Some feedback we got was to make the installation more like a physical experience rather than a dream which was what it initially was. Also, we should add some boxing gloves or safety wear to make the installation more interesting and realistic which we did on our second time filming !!
Zhi Hin kept hitting my head with the sphere thing. I lost all my remaining brain cells that day :) Thank you, Zhi Hin.
Week 11 lesson
Pretty interesting class with the teacher going around class moving random things around to fit the projection on the wall and circle sphere ball.
I was late that day and when I walked into class I was hella confused “why is it so dark?” “am I in the right class?!” “where’s my phone I need a flashlight” I almost tripped over a wire. If I really fell, that would have been so embarrassing.
Week 10 taking a picture of Zhi Hin for assignment 3 !!
Week 10 filming for assignment 3 !!
We filmed everything in school in a few hours and went home to edit. I was soaking wet and cold from jumping into a pool that day. Also, acting in a classroom where people outside in the halls could see was super embarrassing AHAHA. I’m happy I got to do this assignment with Zhi Hin and Beyonce because they have been my friends since I first joined NAFA. If I had to act in front of new classmates I didn’t know too well I would feel so shy. SO THANK YOU MR ONG KIAN PENG FOR LETTING ME CHANGE TO GROUP A TO BE WITH (mY toTaLLy AmAziNg FriEnDs) ZHI HIN AND BEYONCE
This is Chong Li-Chuan running around his installation and manually syncing the different cassette tapes to make beautiful music !!
As The River Flows - Glowing Orbs !!!
As The River Flows is an immersive light and sound experience that draws inspiration from the Singapore River, with a formation of glowing orbs. The orbs are made with those really old school plastic baskets you find at the wet market.
When I first came into the room I thought “hmm ok glowing orbs cool” I got bored and wanted to go to the next room until the composer for the music, Chong Li-Chuan, came in and explained what was going on.
He then showed as how he manually syncs all the cassette tapes perfectly in one go to create this beautiful art. (magician ??)
Sadly, the lights went out and the installation kinda died but it still looked cool
Then I had to leave because I spent too much time getting lost rather than actually visiting more cool places. T-T
