“Sounds like a deal,” Ami said to her trading the taffies for the extra sandwich happily  “I’m Ami by the way,” She said introducing herself the girl seemed nice she liked books, she liked food maybe Ami had run into a potential new friend. She usually got so absorbed into her studies that making friends was a little difficult.

“So do you go to school here too?” Ami asked her curious 

“Sunny Baudelaire.” She introduced back. “Nice to meet you Ami.” The blonde shook her head. “I own a small bakery just down the way.” Sunny was all about learning but her time at Prufrock Prep made her uncomfortable. “Are you at the school?”

Ami smiled  “That’s impressive! do your brother and sister help you run it?” Ami asked her she was so young she couldn’t have been much older than she was after all right?

“Yeah I do,” Ami said she still didn’t know exactly what she wanted to major in but she was working on figuring it out there were a lot of options.

Ami nodded  “Yeah, I’d be pretty bummed out if I lost my lunch.” she admitted to her making sure to put her book in her bag this time so she wouldn’t repeat the mistake of walking and reading.

“If you like sandwiches I have an extra, if you’re not allergic to peanut butter and jam.” Ami said she moved a few things until she found the extra one she had stashed away for emergencies and offered it to the girl 

“We’ll call it my apology for running into you.”

“I mean if you had lost your lunch I would have been more then happy to make something else for you. I do fancy myself a chef.” Sunny stood up a little taller and smiled brightly. She had always been proud of having that skill it saved her siblings in many a situations. The blonde thought for a moment and then smiled, “I’m only allergic to peppermint. Which reminds me.” She reached into her pocket to pull out carefully wrapped peppermint taffies. “Assorted taffy tends to have peppermint but this one was unusually filled with it. An apology for running into you.” She held out the candies.

Ami was trying to think for a moment, she supposed it might be a little strange to think of it  “Do you have any staffs?” Ami asked her curious “or a spear of some kind?” That seemed like something a villain in one of her books would have right? her characters always seemed to have their little wands and powers of their own but the villains needed weapons and who knew maybe she could come up with something cute.

“no staffs, but I do have a few spears.” she smiled and waved for the girl to follow her a little further down the wall. she motioned to what she had, “here they are. there’s different lengths and tip shapes depending on what you want. what is your comic about?”

Ami blushed a bit she was totally embarrassed to admit it was about super heroes and that she had sort of inserted herself into it as well. “W-Well um...it’s sort of a super hero comic.” she said holding her sketchpad a little tighter as she looked up at the spears curious she wondered ow she could make these fit with her theme, deciding to try and make one of the blades on her villains staff crescent shaped

Ami laughed again shaking her head a little bit before she looked down at her notebook again  “Just need a top hat and you’ll be the belle of the ball.” She told him it was nice to joke around with someone, ami usually had her head so stuffed in a book that she wasn’t really that popular with people which she didn’t mind but it was still nice to have someone to talk too.

“A top hat?  Oh man, you’re right, that’s perfect.”  He chuckled, shoving the makeshift mustache into his pocket.  “I actually think I might’ve seen one at this weird little shrift store downtown.  We could go see if it’s still there, you in?”  He smiled.

Ami couldn’t stop herself from laughing but she had already started this adventure she may as well finish it.

“Fine but afterwards I have to get straight back to my homework.” Ami told him standing up and grabbing her purse who knew maybe they could find something fun over at the thrift store

Ami had been reading and walking like she had been told not to do every day since she was a child and hadn’t noticed she and the other girl were in teh same path and bumped her nearly dropping the sandwich that was in her other hand

“Oh sorry!” she said quickly at the same time as the other girl, she couldn’t help but laugh a little bit hearing her exclaim the same thing

“At least I know i’m not the only one who has a hard time paying attention.” Ami laughed as she knelt down and picked up her book 

Sunny laughed and bent down to pick up her own notebook. “Same. My brother is really good at this whole walking and reading thing. But then again I think it’s cause he has my sister and I to guide him.” Holding her notes close the blonde apologized again. “Really sorry about that. But hey at least you didn’t lose your sandwich, that would have been tragic. Losing a sandwich, ugh, my nightmare.” She laughed again.

“You could always buy one of those cheesy fake ones from the store,” Ami suggested though she was already doodling a fake one on a piece of paper for him though it may not help that it was bright blue because of the pen she was using but none the less she tore it out and handed it to him 

“There, now you have one.”

Peter saw her start to scribble something, but it wasn’t until she tore the paper and handed it to him that it clicked and he laughed.  “Oh my God, that’s perfect!”  He held it up to his face.  “Now I look really fancy.”

Ami had heard there was a weapons shop in town and frankly she was a little disappointed with how surprised she was, this place was a little weird why wouldn’t it have a weapons shop? But when Ami was doodling her comics she thought it might be a good idea to go in and get some inspiration

“I’m mostly looking,” Ami said she honestly had no interest in buying a weapon unless she could use it for research purposes. “Sorry to bother you, I draw some comics and weapons are a little difficult I thought being able to see them in person would maybe be helpful to see them in person rather than try to look at them online”

She nodded at the girl’s answer and began to walk back to the register. when she kept talking, Astrid stopped and turned back. “oh that’s really neat. please, take your time looking. it certainly is better to see the real things.” she kept her distance as to not make the other uncomfortable, but stayed close in case she had any questions. “is there a particular weapon you’re looking for? ”

“You just need one of those curly mustaches and you’ll be the fanciest man on Campus.” she joked with him before she continued giggling

“That would be a lot easier if I could grow a mustache.”  Peter chuckled softly as he slid the monocle into his pocket.  “Maybe I could draw it on with a sharpie or something.”

Sunny walked around the town, curious about her surroundings. With a notebook in hand she began writing notes. Klaus was always the better notetaker but the blonde knew she had to learn the skill for herself. Her nose buried in the text the youngest baudelaire didn’t realize that she bumped right into someone. “Oop. Sorry ‘bout that!”

the jingle of the bell pulled astrid out of her thoughts. she looked at the security monitor and saw someone walking into the shop. she finished what she was doing in the small forge in the back and made her way to the shop. wiping her hands on the thick apron, she smiled as she saw the other browsing. “is there anything I can help you find? or are you just looking?”

☕ : Does your muse prefer coffee or tea?

Ami prefers tea, it’s more calming and helps her relax after a stressful day she does drink Coffee once in a blue moon when she needs that extra boost before a test but it doesn’t happen often
