Buchi is a Trumpet player, DJ and Remixer. Also he often appears as a guest player collaborated with international bands on huge festival stages in Japan. His play style is originally based on Brass Music. When he grab the Trumpet, the style is stepping into World Music. Furthermore, he has been collecting comfortable sounds, rhythms and phrases everyday (not only instrumental ones but also computer ones) as a pure record collector. Thereby, his artisan spirits appears on his remix works. He groups records together with instruments and mixes both senses with fun. Because he has Hip-Hop sensibility and mind.
トランペット奏者として活動する傍ら、DJとしての活動やリミックスも手がける。また、大型フェスにおいては海外アーティストの客演なども数多く経験している。楽器を手にした際は、ブラスミュージックに軸足を残しつつ、ワールドミュージックへと踏み込んでゆくプレイスタイルが特徴。さらには、真摯なリスナーとして生音／打ち込みの別にこだわらず、心地よいリズムやフレーズを見つけては日々ストックしている。その先に表れるのは、リミックス職人としての並々ならぬこだわり。楽器とレコードを同列で捉え、双方で得た感覚をミックスさせて「アソビ」へと昇華してしまうのは、芯の部分に「感性としてのヒップホップ」を宿しているからに他ならない。
