So, after making my return to Tumblr after my long hiatus I decided to include in a nutshell my experience in the UK. I finally met my cousins from the UK back in September for another cousin’s wedding in Chicago. We’ve always known about one another but due to issues in the past we were never to connect until recently. After being invited to come over for my cousin Whitney’s bday, I did not hesitate to seize the opportunity. I will go more into detail soon.

My Fashion Journey

Since high school I have considered my sense of fashion to be special. I used it as a way to express myself and it gave me a great deal of confidence. Not being afraid to take “risks” and not care what others “thought” about my taste in fashion is what propelled me to be in the position where I am now. Having a long list of influences is what allowed me to put together outfits the way I do. 

Not many understood my fashion sense, especially in high school. People used to think I was gay because I wore slim or skinny jeans. And, I wore shirts that actually “fit.” I wasn't wearing brands such as Blac Label or Pelle Pelle but I wore Ralph Lauren and Hackett London. Having this fashion forward mentality is what I felt placed me ahead. I find it funny to see some of those same people imitating mainstream trends. 

My purpose is to now speak on my experiences, give tips, and also share my plans for the future. My contribution to the fashion world.
