As most of you know I am a soon to be Mrs and my feeds have been all wedding, all day. So I’ve been thinking of sharing my experience with you guys as time settles down.
Recently we did our engagement shoot and I must say I was pleased with not only the result but also the benefits of having a pre-wedding shoot.
Our talented photographer, Lauren Pretorius included a free engagement shoot for those who booked during 2016 and I must say we were so grateful for this experience. Having a camera shy guy who hates photographs, doing this shoot was an absolute eye opener for us.
Positives:
It allowed us to get a feel for what it would be like on our big day
We got to use the images for our wedding website, stationery and so on.
It allowed us to conceptualise our idea of what type of images we’d like.
Helped us become confident in front of the camera.
It was FUN!
Here are some of my faves <3
Why do an Engagement Shoot? As most of you know I am a soon to be Mrs and my feeds have been all wedding, all day.
Mangwanani Moonlight Spa Experience Review
Mangwanani Moonlight Spa Experience Review
We recently reached a great milestone on our journey to the altar and I thought what better way to celebrate than spoiling my fiance. After a long day at work, we took an easy drive up to the Mangwanani Winelands Spa prepared for an evening of pamper, romance and relaxation. We were escorted to the changing rooms where we exchanged our clothing for lovely thick white robes, sipped on sparkling…

26 things for 26 years
26 things for 26 years
I’ve had tons to reflect on in 2016, being the year of the realisation as one of the Kardashian’s put it. So to commemorate my recent ascend to the 27 Club, I’ve decided to list some of the things I have learnt in my 26 years of life.
Work hard but smart.
Stop giving a shit about wearing a bra. Eyes are on top. Panty lines can miss me.
Work on health not skinny.
Be honest, even more so.
Don’t…

Product Review: Garnier Ultimate Blends
Product Review: Garnier Ultimate Blends
If like me you’ve experimented on your hair with colour, you know the importance of hair care, those luscious conditioners are not great smelling but also a must if you have curly hair like me. I was pretty intrigued by Garnier Natural Blends when it launched and was super excited to try it out to see how it would affect my thick locks. Firstly this post isn’t sponsored and also just my opinion…

I recently got to attend #SummerSessions, an unofficial welcoming of summer with 4th Street Wines and KFM at Inside Lounge in Big Bay.
With beautiful sea views, an epic performance by GoodLuck and great sundowners – it was the ultimate way to end a busy week.
Check out some of my images of the evening:

So You're Ready to Buy a Home
So You’re Ready to Buy a Home
We recently went through all the nightmarish admin hell of purchasing a property and I figured I should probably write a series on it.
So here, goes nothing. Let’s start with the simple starting process.
Prepare a checklist
Have you checked your credit rating?
Decided on a location?
Type of home?
Calculated your how much you can afford?
These are some things you should have on your checklist…

[GIVEAWAY] To Kill a Mockingbird Review
[GIVEAWAY] To Kill a Mockingbird Review
To Kill a Mockingbird is one of those books that almost everyone reads at some point in their lives. Whether you’ve been forced to read it at school, or you’ve had a look because everyone’s been urging you to, most people have their own personal experience of reading Mockingbird. It’s one of my absolute favs!
Set in the American South, Alabama, Lee masterfully spins a tale of prejudice and…

Book Review: First Love by Robert Patterson and Emily Raymond
Book Review: First Love by Robert Patterson and Emily Raymond
First Love is a breathtaking new novel from James Patterson based partly on his own experiences about, just like it sounds, falling in love for the first time. However, this tale is about so much more than that. There are life lessons learned by these teens from which we can all benefit at any stage of life.
Robert Patterson
In a story that is remarkably inspiring, poignant, memorable and full…

#PaoloNutiniSA Concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens
So I am kinda crazy about music, who isn’t?? I am always looking for live performances that will take me on a journey of discovery and I’ve come to find that Seed Experiences always brings acts that will do just that.
It’s not just about a big name, it is an experience. So last night I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Paolo Nutini and he blew my mind!
Being known for his passionate…

Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River.
