Fuck this post and Happy Birthday Enid Sinclair
I lied the other week when I said my most unpopular opinion was that I think Spike should have been killed off. Itās actually that I think Angel is a bad show about 80% of the time and it feels weird to act like itās on par with Buffy which is a good show about 70% of the time.Ā
I've seen you post about Carmilla and I have to ask, you didn't actually think that was good right?
I mean was it good for a low budget webseries? Sort of. Was it actually good? No. Did I enjoy it for what it was? Yeah. At the time it was a bit of a laugh and I was much younger.
I look back at Carmilla and I don't really remember anything except for Hollstein and while so much about that webseries and movie was low quality, that's still some of the best on screen chemistry and I will always believe that. Because there's no tricks to aid that chemistry. Music is used like once in the whole series (and that was a mistake to have it in). There's no cutting together different takes. There's no close ups and slow mo to try and enhance a mood. They really just had like this super believable magnetic pull and that is why we all watched and ate that shit up.
As much as I don't look back at Carmilla and think it was good, I don't ever regret supporting it because so many people involved in that project were part of the LGBT+ community and they wanted to make art that supported that community. Given the time it came out, that was very rare still and super important

lol you're delusional if you think the percy stuff has affected the show in anyway
I've honestly tried my hardest to say as little about this as possible because I'm just so over you Percy/Xavier stans.
But you're honestly delusional if you don't see that it's affected Wednesday. I'm not going to get into the allegations, I'm simply going to going to point out some facts. The instagram for Wednesday was incredibly active, posting new clips of interviews from the cast, posting clips from the show, posting bts stuff and then since those allegations it has gradually shifted to posting almost exclusively on their stories only.
Because every post they made after the allegations got completely flooded with comments about Percy. They've shifted their marketing to limit public fan interaction. That is 100% because of all the stuff surrounding Percy.
It's been a while since Wednesday came out and the second season hasn't started filming yet so things were always bound to slow down, but you cannot be naive enough to not see the shift and work out what caused it. That doesn't even get into how many followers he has personally lost on his social media and the fact that he's stopped posting and commenting on anything.
Like you do not have to be an expert to see that if anyone in the main cast is going to get their screen time reduced, it's going to be him
Which Buffy podcasts do you recommend?
Honestly depends on what kind of content you want. I struggle with almost all of them because I genuinely just adore Buffy Summers and want her character analysed and so few actually do that. Becoming Buffy is pretty good though.
While it drove me insane with some of their dunking on Buffy, in terms of analysis and looking at the show through a modern lens and having two queer hosts I would say Buffering is ok.
If you want to listen to a truly horrible Buffy podcast, may I suggest The Rewatcher?
Iāve never heard worse takes and Iāve been in the Buffy fandom a while now. I get people have blinders for their favourites but if youāre going to analyse and talk about the show you need to be a little more even about the whole thing

You guessed September before for when Wednesday season 2 would begin filming and now there's a rumour going around that that's when it's starting and it's filming in London. Do you actually have inside info? If so which cast member is concerned they're being cut? It's not Emma Myers is it?
Hey anon!
I think I did guess September, I know I definitely thought later in the year. That was 100% just a guess though based on people's work schedule and the fact that they definitely are going to want to start shooting this year.
I really don't have any insider information outside of knowing what the market research for s1 said and a little of how Netflix feels about it. I do have a slight connection to a cast member, but it's not like a personal relationship where they're dropping details about filming or whatever. It has to do with my work.
One thing I would bet money on though is that Emma Myers will have more screen time in s2, not less. I would say outside the Addams Family she's the safest character on the show because of her popularity.
I feel like we could all guess which cast member would be worried about being cut and I would say they should be worried even without the allegations against them. When your storyline is primarily about another character and no one cares about your relationship, you're no longer that important.
Also London would make sense for Tim Burton but I have no idea if that's true or not.
