We need better mental healthcare in the first world. Until then, the blunder continues, unabated, with ever greater intensity.
Transmisogyny is when trans people are misogynistic. Which is disgustingly often, but here's a particularly direct example.

Real women don't *have* to buy fashionable wardrobes and makeup to be women. We just are.
If the government were to subsidize personal items for women, it should be birth control, abortions, period items, and postpartum items.
Or lowering the tuition costs for females at federally funded universities, since women will go on to earn lower wages for doing the same work as males.
How about discounted weapons and proper training for females so we can better protect ourselves against the physically stronger males who wish us harm?
Or they could better fund research into women's healthcare, since females react differently than males to most health conditions and treatments.
Or they could better staff their labs so we could get through DNA testing every rape kit in a timely fashion.
But I guess none of that benefits him at all. Wonder why... 🙄

Fictional characters, yes, who killed fictional women and children, but still recognizable murderers whose fictional victims people can watch and rewatch being murdered as many time as they want.
And they dress their children like these killers. Mostly their male children. These characters have endured for decades. People literally love them.
You might argue that while some people are dressing their sons like Dahmer *because* he killed black, Asian, and Latino gay men that they consider less valuable human beings, but a much larger group of people are dressing their sons like the most obscene yet accessible killers they can think of, not in spite of the greater perceived value of their mostly white female victims, but *because of it*.
Society loves a prolific serial killer and the murder of women and children is literally considered entertainment, whether for slasher fans or true crime addicts. Audiences want carnage, and they certainly do not shy away from "desirables" being dismembered.
People who want to pretend like the Dahmer trend is somehow new and insidiously racist are confusing the Milwaukee PD's racism (that helped Dahmer continue his spree) with the general bloodlust Americans have for one another. This is not new at all.

If the trans community was against people changing their minds about their gender identity, WE WOULDN'T HAVE TRANS PEOPLE. Like, what, you're allowed to change your mind on that once, but not twice?? What kind of bullshit is that??
I just want to say, if you're detrans and cis, you are automatically cooler than every other cis person. You unlocked cis+ and have a way better understanding of your gender than your non cis+ peers. Like, at least you put some thought into it, rather than just being like, "huh, I guess I'm cis because society told me so". You thought it through, you explored your gender, and you did not just take it at face value.
If you're detrans, I love you, you are cool and valid as fuck, and anyone who says otherwise can go fuck themselves 💜
You heard it here first, folks: "if you want to be the coolest cis person, you need to transition and then detrans to prove you're capable of deep and independent thinking.
Sure, perhaps there are less popular ways to sterilize and mutilate yourself, but you're a true iconoclast because you chose the trendiest, most socially visible methods of your era."
How can people say this "boring cis people" nonsense and not realize that it is this exact line of thinking that pushes impressionable teenagers toward transitions that they wouldn't have otherwise wanted and did in fact come to deeply regret? Read the room, ffs.
Stop trying to turn the medical malpractice and human rights violations this movement has forced on tens of thousands kids into some kind of cool youthful experience. It's neglect. It's abuse. It's the tragedy of our generation.

a few months ago i saw these bitter disgusted posts by a lesbian on here about how nauseating she finds it to look at post-mastectomy detrans women’s bodies and obviously she had a situation with extreme squeamishness at any sort of depiction of wounds or scars in Any way, so i don’t think its root was in hatred of us specifically but the way she expressed it was so close-minded and unwilling to see anything from our perspective or feel any compassion for the suffering that led us to full-on 180s in terms of our identities and perceptions of ourselves. and she said we “have other options in life than romance” and essentially should give up on love entirely since in the PAST we must not have prioritized it if we were willing to rule out our chances at a typical, normative lesbian sex life in an unaltered body— as if our past preferences are something we hold true ETERNALLY and can never change— which is fundamentally at odds with my lived truth, which is that, whether gradually or seemingly shifting in an instant, we can have a different perception of ourselves, perhaps a mirror opposite even, than we once had. and i don’t really have the time to waste explaining that to someone who doesn’t care about my experience, and most people are intrigued and curious and willing to listen, anyway. the oddest thing is she was unwilling to accept that this was not just HER personal (and completely acceptable, in terms of boundaries) belief; she ascribed it to ALL LESBIANS. (when i sent an anonymous message to her saying, i am someone who had a mastectomy at 16, she immediately accused me of lying. lol.) but i’m here to tell you that what she said is false because i’m now in the healthiest and most open in communication relationship i’ve ever had, with a lovely and sweet and compassionate woman who is also a lesbian, who sees me for who i am and is able to comfort me, and be attracted to me, despite the fact i had a body-altering surgery at the age of 16. there are lesbians out there who care about people like us. don’t ever give up hope. love u ❣️🌸🌈

This is heartbreaking. OP doesn't even realize she's furthering the gender roles that were inflicted onto her from birth. She's not breaking free, she's making the prison more cozy.

So I've just had a thought, and bare with me because I'm aware that this could be a reach lmao.
So it's already been brought up in radblr how the Karen meme has gone too far and demonizes women for asserting themselves and demonizes women for being middle aged, and god forbid a woman is middle aged and asserts herself!
But I was thinking about the stereotypical "Karen" haircut, which is like this:
and it make me think, of course the stereotypical "Karen" haircut is a short and practical haircut, not long beautiful tresses or something that's conventionally attractive and seen as beautiful to men. So the Karen meme not only demonizes women for daring to assert themsevles / be middle aged instead of young and naive, but it's also demonizing women for daring to have short practical haircuts instead of long beautiful tresses that follow typical patriarchal beauty standards.
Like I've seen comments on instagram of girls and women who previously hair long hair getting it cut into a pixie or bob and people, usually boys and men, commenting "Karen haircut lmao" or "future Karen in the making" just on normal and practical looking bobs and pixie cuts, and then this leads to the girls and women I've heard saying they want to get a bob or a pixie cut but "don't want to look like a Karen" so they keep their conventionally attractive long locks.
I'm willing to entertain the idea that the Karen meme started as a reasonable way for retail employees to vent about the abuse they get from customers, however either way now women are getting called Karens just for existing past the age of 30, or just for asserting themselves when it's reasonable and called for to assert yourself, or in this case just for daring to have short and practical haircuts. Besides, I've been working in food service and retail for the better part of a decade now and my worst customers are always men. Male customers will regularly get violent and genuinely make me afraid for my safety. Meanwhile when female customers are bad usually the worst they do is be snippy and make me feel bad about myself. Which isn't nearly the same as genuinely making me feel unsafe. And also, the worst female customers I get are often teenage girls and young women who are closely following conventional beauty standards including having long hair.
Frumpy. Dyke. Karen. Bald bitch.
There's always something negative to be said about women who make any choice that saves them time, energy, and money that they can spend doing things for themselves instead of making themselves beautiful for men.
Am I crazy for finding this upsetting?

So our culture is so thoroughly sexist that a 6 year old doesn't even need her peers to tease her in order to feel like there's something wrong with her body, and we're leaning into her need to modify her natural body to meet beauty standards in kindergarten and calling that body positive and supportive parenting? And we're pretending this is just her own autonomously desire to express her authentic self?

Trustee of the transgender charity Mermaids quits after speech to paedophile aid group

A trustee of the transgender charity Mermaids resigned last night after it emerged that he had spoken at a conference hosted by an organisation that promotes services to paedophiles.
Dr Jacob Breslow was a graduate student in gender research at the London School of Economics when he gave a presentation at an event for the US-based B4U-ACT in 2011.
According to its website, B4U-ACT promotes services and resources “for self-identified individuals . . . who are sexually attracted to children and desire such assistance”.
Breslow’s presentation appeared to be a critique of how paedophiles were understood.
Records show that the academic, who is now assistant professor of gender and sexuality at LSE, became a trustee of Mermaids, a transgender youth support charity, in July this year.
After The Times approached Mermaids about Breslow’s talk, he tendered his resignation as a trustee. Mermaids said that it was unaware of his appearance at the conference until contacted by this newspaper. B4U-ACT calls itself a “unique collaborative effort between minor-attracted people and mental health professionals to promote communication and understanding between the two groups”.
Its “scientific symposium” was hosted in Baltimore, Maryland, in August 2011, to address concerns about the way paedophilia was addressed in the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), a publication by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) for the classification of mental disorders.
Breslow’s presentation was titled Sexual Alignment: Critiquing Sexual Orientation, The Pedophile, and the DSM V. A brief extract of the presentation, still available online, said: “This paper works through the DSM’s struggle to understand ‘the pedophile’ through an investigation of the highly questionable and deeply assumptive clinical, empirical and theoretical studies it cites.”
In parts, the presentation used the phrase “minor attracted persons”, a phrase used by some instead of paedophile.
Breslow was contacted for comment last night.
Last week Mermaids became the subject of a Charity Commission investigation following claims that it was handing out chest binders to children as young as 13 and 14.
The charity has, in the past, won the support of celebrities such as Emma Watson and Prince Harry, and been handed grants from the National Lottery and the government.
The charities watchdog is now investigating Mermaids’ safeguarding practices. The Times also revealed parents’ concerns last week after it emerged that children on Mermaids’ online forum were arranging to move conversations about experimental drug treatments and medical transition onto less closely supervised platforms.
