Can we get some casual agere appreciation?
Like, no this character isn't using a pacifier or gripping onto a plushie or padded or wearing childing clothing, but they are hiding behind their most trusted person in the friend group, either a parental figure or close friend, when things feel too big and new.
They aren't crying out for mommy or daddy, or throwing a tantrum, but they're sobbing to themselves in the middle of the night, clutching their pillow like a person, because everything feels too big and too much
They aren't burying themselves in pacifiers, teethers, or plushies, but they're chewing on their shirt or hand when they get anxious and hugging their pillow to their chest like a lifeline
CAN WE GET SOME MORE CASUAL AGERE??
I just have a thing for "robot overcoming what they were made for" trope I guess

— Age Regression Writing Prompts:
ღ Kiddos who don’t enjoy cleaning inspires their caregiver(s) to implement a reward incentive via sticker chart. What their caregiver(s) doesn’t expect is the chaos that ensues as the regressors compete to see who can earn the most stickers.
ღ First time caregiver(s) who has the very best intentions at heart, but due to their inexperience, unintentionally goes overboard and overwhelms their regressor(s).
ღ A newly formed polycule introduces their new partner(s) to regression and explores what roles they would play and how things change in their dynamic.
ღ Characters are flip4flip, but one/some of them has a tendency to repress their regression in favor of taking care of the other(s). The one(s) who tends to regress more often notices and wants to help their fellow flip(s) shed those fears and embrace their tiny self/selves. After all, they would love a playmate!
ღ Caregiver(s) in desperate need of a babysitter for their regressor(s), but the person at the very bottom of their list is the only one available. Being a worry wart, the caregiver(s) is nervous to leave their little one(s) under the care of this irresponsible babysitter, but is pleasantly surprised to find how well they actually do—even if there are a few mishaps along the way.
ღ Regressor presents differently in their normal headspace than they do while regressed (ex. a nonbinary person presenting more femininely/masculinely when regressing, a male liking ‘girly’ things while regressed, etc), perhaps as a way to heal their inner child who was often forced to comply with gender norms.
ღ Villain is exhausted after yet another day of failure and retreats to their personal quarters to unwind. Wishing to cheer up their beloved boss, the villain’s loyal henchman/henchmen is determined to take care of them while regressed.
ღ During a mission, regressor(s) slips into their headspace due to stress/fear and their teammate(s) swoop in to help them stay strong and make it through.
ღ Regressor(s) who is self conscious but interested in wearing diapers, only to be comforted by their caregiver(s) who, come to find out, also wears them!
ღ Pet regressor(s) is taken to a local park and meets critters of all kinds to play with (meant to be set in a ‘regressors are known’ au).
ღ Caregiver(s) is having an especially rough mental health/chronic pain/etc day, and regressor(s) tries their best to take care of them.
ღ Caregiver(s) and regressor(s) discuss personal needs and boundaries in the beginning stages of their new dynamic.
ღ Regressor(s) is curious about what it’d be like having a caregiver or babysitter, and their friend/partner(s) wants to help out! While they have lots of fun and their friend/partner(s) does an amazing job, the regressor(s) learns they are content regressing mostly on their own.
ღ Caregiver(s) is uncomfortable with traditional familial titles many are given and works with their regressor(s) to settle on a nickname that feels just right.
ღ Sometimes the shows, games and activities regressor(s) enjoys overwhelm/overstimulate/cause sensory overload for their caregiver(s) and they try to reach a compromise where regressor(s) can still enjoy these things/find alternatives while accommodating their caregiver(s).

- uses kids products to help motivate showers, brushing teeth and brushing hair
- cocoons themself in plushies and blankets, staying in bed all day and barely sleeping at night
- uses kids dishes and nastolgic meals when struggling with low appetite
- uses a sticker chart and reward system to try and feel excited and productive about chores
- cling to fictional cgs from comfort shows
- use diaps when they are too tired to get up to potty
- whine for a cg they don't have
- struggle to remember to eat, shower, change clothes, brush their hair or teeth or take medicine
- struggle to get excited about their interests
- lack the energy and/or time to regress
- struggle with nightmares and use their stuffies to comfort then
- only have the energy to be a completely dependent baby and nothing more
- who are both too scared to ask to be cared for, but also too uncomfortable to regress alone
- who feel a ton of shame, anxiety or guilt during and/or after regressing
- who can only age dream due to intrusive thoughts or anxiety
- who rely on regression completely for getting out of bed in the morning and falling asleep at night
been so depressed recently so I thought I'd share this. I truly could go on and on about how my regression is integral to my depression. I hope some of you can feel seen from this !
