Connie's Lore ♡

Hey, I'm Bug. I'm not the best at writing and I am a minor. But my good friend W, the mod of @ocblog0connie, came up with the outline of their oc's backetory and lore. I'm just writing this because I really wanted to and she said I could. This is what my blog will mostly be used for.

This is in no way accurate to the cannon characters on K-Pop Demon Hunters and I genuinely haven't watched the movie in a week. I'm just going off how Connie explained them, the wiki, and the personalities of the roleplay blogs on here. I do not own any of the characters in this!! All cannon characters are owned by the creator of K-Pop Demon Hunters, any other characters are owned by W.

Sorry if this sucks, I've never actually wrote a story like this before. Especially not with this show. The story will be worked on slowly over at least a few days, most likely a month or two. Please note that I won't be on here too often to update or post, mainly just to interact with W or pester the people they roleplay with, but I will be focusing on this story, and maybe short one shots and/or posts of my favorite ship, Mystnie, when I'm online.

The early sun flooded light through the windows of the apartment, brightening the dim rooms quite a bit. Connie was already awake, having gotten up a bit earlier than normal to get ready before the boys usually get up. She'd been avoiding Abby the whole day yesterday, and the afternoon the day before that, which is when the argument took place.

Tiredly stumbling into the kitchen, she grabbed a cup and stood in front of the sink, filling it with cool water. Despite her demonic nature, she prefers human food and drinks over souls.

Abby had noticed her new routine, rarely seeing her around the apartment when he used to see her all the time. Even Pumpkin and Pebble were rarely out when he was.

Abby had noted that there had been a distinct lack of Connie ever since their divorce a few days ago. That didn't really bother him. What did bother him was that none of the other Saja Boys had seen her that much either. None of her friends had come by to yell at him either, which meant that she was probably spending most of her time alone. So, he came up with a plan to suprise and confront her when she got up in the morning. He woke up earlier than usual and hid in the kitchen, waiting. When Connie has her back to him, Abby steps out from behind the kitchen door.

Why are you avoiding everyone?

Her body visibly jumped at the sound of his voice, shoulders immediately tensing and jaw clenching. Connie forced herself to calm down, glancing back at Abby through her messy bangs. Her cheeks were visibly puffy. "Why do you care?" She managed to hiss, turning back towards the sink. "You told me I should stay away from you, so it's not your business."

He rolls his eyes.

Exactly, I told you to stay away from me, not isolate yourself from everyone. There's a difference. You just don't know how to listen.

His arms are crossed and his posture basically says why are you making me have this conversation so early in the morning. His brows furrow when he realizes Connie isn't going to turn back around. He's more important than talking to a back.

"It's none of your business who I talk to, since you clearly don't want anything to do with me." She snapped, clearly tired of how he was acting. She sat the water to the side, her nails dug into her palms, which stung but she ignored it as she stared into the sink. That's what she thought?

He sighs dramatically, leaning back against the counter.

I don't want anything to do with you, which is why I have to fix whatever this

Abby gestures vaguely at Connie

Is. Because when you're upset, all your friends come and blame me. I don't want you or them being all annoying. So let's just get this over with and we can both leave happy. Why are you avoiding everyone?

"I'm not-.." She trailed off, forcing herself to calm down so she wouldn't snap at him again. It wasn't completely his fault anyways. Sure, his harsh words the other day had been the breaking point, but she had already been stressed beforehand. "I just have a lot on my mind right now." Connie's hands trembled lightly against the sink edge.

Abby frowns at the back of Connie's head. His disdain is evident.

Maybe you should reconsider your approach, because however you're currently dealing with that doesn't seem to be doing much

Connie glanced back at him again, turning away from the sink to face Abby again. She was visibly trembling. "I'd rather you not critique me for my way of coping." The brunette brushed her hair back, wiping her cheeks with her sleeve.

Get better at it and I wouldn't have anything to critique.

He stifles a yawn

Or a reason to be up so early

"You- ugh. Just go back to bed and leave me alone." She turned towards the door, biting her tongue to shut herself up as she tried to retreat from the kitchen.

"Oh, uhm.. okay?" She stumbled out of bed, rubbing her eyes tiredly before grabbing a bag and packing her essentials. She didn't bother changing out of her pajamas.

*Baby just waits for her in his car, tapping the steering wheel nervously with his fingers*

She came out of her apartment after about ten or so minutes, climbing into the car with a yawn. "Morning.."

"Morning. Buckle up."

She did as told, clicking the buckle in place before resting her head on his shoulder tiredly, closing her eyes.

*He sets off… driving surprisingly well? So Baby could be a good driver if he wanted to. He pulls up to his place, gently shaking Connie*

"C'mon, wake up, we're here."

She whined at him, cracking her eyes open to glare up at him. She did sit up and stretch though. "Mm.. you keep waking me up." Connie grumbled.

"You can sleep on my couch- I'm not carrying you to my place >:("

She rolled her eyes, unbucking and grabbing her bag from the floorboard before getting out of the car. "Yeah, yeah. Like your noodle arms could pick me up anyways." She snorted.

"Hey! I'll have you know I'm very strong actually!!"

*Baby got out of the car too, shutting the door and locking it as he took Connie inside*

"Sureeeee.." Connie followed Baby into his apartment, adjusting her cropped t-shirt over her scarred side. "So.. I've essentially been dragged to live with you and now I have to sleep on a couch? Rude."

"Just until I get an extra bed!"

"I was joking, Baby- I sleep under my bed half the time anyways." She hummed, flicking him in the shoulder before sitting in one of the end seats, curling into a ball against the armrest. "I'm fine without.." She trailed off, yawning.

"Yeah well I'm still getting one- you should have a proper space to sleep."

*Baby goes to the kitchen to make himself a coffee*

"Where would it even go?" She asked, tipping her head back to watch Baby through the doorway. It didn't look like he had much room for a bed to her.

"One of the spare rooms. This place is bigger than it looks. I've got kpop money, I can afford a good living space."

"You have spare rooms??" Connie sat up slightly, looking at Baby as she blinked a few times. "I've barely got four separate rooms in my apartment- wait, does a closet count as its own room or part of the bedroom?"

"A closet is part of the bedroom- I have like a ton of spare rooms."

"Why do you get a good apartment?? All I have is a bedroom, bathroom, and the main room with my couch and cooking stuff-" She pouted, standing from her spot on the couch to stumble around the apartment, looking at literally everything she could.
