Faith and repentance work hand-in-hand. You can't come to faith in Christ without repentance.
For every look at yourself, take ten looks at Christ.

God Still Reigns
In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1 ESV
A week has now passed since the results of the E.U. referendum. Since then, billions were wiped off the stock market, the Prime Minister has resigned and resignations continue at the top. Confusion and anxiety is chief this week not only in the UK but all around Europe.
Isaiah saw the Lord during times of great confusion amongst the Kings of Israel as King Uzziah had just died. Later on in the chapter the Lord is referred to as the “Lord of Hosts”, meaning He is King over all Kingdoms, present and future. This is a profound truth to hold onto. It’s a comforting truth to know that despite the UK not having a Prime minister, God is still in control.
We have a mandate to carry this truth in our workplaces, homes, schools. We cannot display the light of Christ by walking in fear and complaining about the results & its implications like the rest of society. We have to be strong flagpoles at a time where many are going with the wind.
The Lord of Hosts, is still on the throne. We can trust Him.
Note to self...
Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, interceding for your own sanctification. You were never meant to run this race alone.
You're only as spiritual as you are right now. You cannot rest on past laurels.
Paul Washer
Jesus doesn't simply tweak our lives but rebuilds them from the foundations up.

One of the most underrated spiritual disciplines is the memorisation of Scripture. There's no telling how much of an impact it would have on your prayer life and your walk with God as a whole. Memorise Scripture like you would your favourite song. Hide it deep it your heart that you might not sin against God (psalm 119:11. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God is eternal.
Note to Self...
Sanctification is a life-long process. Don’t be content, but more so, don’t be discouraged with where you are in your spiritual walk. God is faithful to finish what He has started in you.
A gentle reminder...
The more you obey God, the more your faith grows.
Hey, could you pls help a brother out? I dunno if your in a relationship but could u give advice on how to be a better Christian leader 2 my girl?
Hey, brother!
Thanks for asking! This is one of my favourite quotes on relationships and sums it up best for me:
“Ultimately, remember, you’re not the point of the relationship, Jesus is. Point each other to Christ and let Christ knit you together as He sees fit.”
On an individual level, continue to draw closer to God each day, and you’ll develop the godly characteristics that will serve her well. Ultimately you’ll grow and develop as a leader in general. At the same time, your job is not to groom or pastor her as such. God will work on her. But here’s a few pointers I’ve learnt below:
1. Help protect her purity.
2. Always aim to point her to Christ, not yourself.
3. Focus on being rather than getting. Often times we jump into relationships based out of what we can get from it as opposed to who they are and what we can offer, which results in conditional love.
4. Pray together. Keeps God at the centre, and unifies a couple no end.
A Christ-led relationship is a wonderful thing.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Jesus The Perfect Leader
Mark 11 tells of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a colt, which at the time was a baby donkey. This was prophesied in Zechariah 9. In those days, people of high power and authority would ride around on big horses and chariots.
I think there’s something striking about Jesus deciding to ride not even on a donkey, but a baby donkey and still managing to command the attention and adoration He received from the public, who shouted “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” [Verse 9].
In the days of the Roman Empire, to have such affection for anyone but King Caesar was seen as borderline blasphemous and considered a crime. So why was the public drawn to Jesus in this way? Because Jesus was the only leader who oozed humility and authority at the same time. He orchestrated the event [Verses 2-3] . He didn’t need to try hard to exercise authority.
We live in a time where the leaders in this world are scrutinized and the public are often sceptical because of constant failed promises and corruption amongst them. However we need to remember that they’re human beings like us, with character flaws and traits - just like us. They’re often sidetracked and trapped by money and authority, and make mistakes like we do. Jesus is the greatest leader, who possessed no character flaws and always sought to protect His people and His church. We see this later on in Mark 11 where He exercised His authority to drive businesses out of His Father’s house.
He’s the only leader who was strong enough to become weak for our sake. The only leader who could be called the Lion of Judah and the Lamb that was slain. He was an authoritative king and a humble king, who possessed diverse leadership qualities like no other. In a world of little trust for leaders, it is wise pray for them, and to look to the ultimate Leader, and aim to follow His example.
Christ In You
Jesus died on the Cross 2000 years ago so that He could live in your heart today.
Such truths need meditating upon time and time again. Astounding.
Has He taken up residence in your heart?
2 Corinthians 5:17 - “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
Psalms 86:11
Thus says the Lord : “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
We have one boast in this life and one boast only…
An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Proverbs 18:15 (Never stop learning. Marry wisdom & knowledge)
