Day 6
Lil 1.5 mile run today because, I’m not gonna lie, I was so tired and just out of it but I knew I had to get something in, so I did.
Felt much better that I did and it even helped me fall asleep faster after a nice hot shower.
let's talk about Bridgerton tea, my ask is open

Day 6
Lil 1.5 mile run today because, I’m not gonna lie, I was so tired and just out of it but I knew I had to get something in, so I did.
Felt much better that I did and it even helped me fall asleep faster after a nice hot shower.
Day 5
No run today. I was just on campus (of my own volition) for over 12 hours so I’m a little tired and I’m honestly just gonna sleep, because sometimes it’s okay to rest.
Because wow am I tired.
Day 4
It’s been an interesting day.
One of my classes were cancelled in the morning so I didn’t have to come in until noon. And I got a good deal of rest and mild panic when I woke up and thought I missed the class that I knew was cancelled.
After classes, I attended to my studies and even had time to go for a drive with some friends. Then driving back home, my friend’s car broke down and he was stranded on the side of the road for about an hour while waiting for a tow truck (He is okay tho, if a little miffed). We offered to drive him home but the tow truck ppl said he had to stay with the car which is driving to a whole different city and back to his parents house so they’ll take him back.
So with that crazy thing happening, I ran 2 miles around the neighborhood with my roommate and we caught up with each other on classes and much less exciting things.
A slower run today as we were mostly just talking but it kept the HR down and still moved the legs a fair bit. Might try going a bit faster tomorrow, around an 8 minute mile or 8:15 just to prod the cardio a bit more.
Day 2 + 3
I did run yesterday, Strava can attest to that, just forgot to write here afterwards.
I ended up running with my roommate, getting in a nice 2 miles around the neighborhood. I find running with another person, even if it’s a bit faster/slower than your usual runs is usually a good motivator.
Today was even better. I had class early in the morning today, so I was able to get a jumpstart on the day and used the momentum and free time afterward to get a run in and even a small workout at the gym.
I ran another chill 2 miles, 1 mile out and back, exploring some of the trails around campus. They were a little slippery after last nights rain but the hills and lack of grip added a fun bit of complexity to the run, my heart definitely felt that.
My past runs have been averaging about ~160 bpm on average and that’s okay for starting out at my age at about 80% max HR, but I definitely want to get that down over the next few weeks.
It’s all about consistency!
Until next time.
Trying to get back into running after several months of not doing it and decided this and Strava might be a good way to keep track of my progress.
I spent most of today just trying to find the motivation to run, partly because it’s raining and partly because it’s hard, but I eventually just told myself to just put my shoes on and step outside and the rest will sort itself out, and it did.
Just pressed the start button on my watch and went, didn’t give myself time to think about how it’s cold or that I’ll get wet, I gave myself a goal, (don’t stop until I hit time/mark/amount) and kept going.
Ended up doing 4 loops around my neighborhood, just about 2 miles and I ended up enjoying the light drizzle and puddles, made the whole run that much more magical.
