1 🫧 one time ichiro felt he went and did something stupid was when he was finishing up doing some laundry one night, he forgot to take the wet clothes out of the washing machine. because of that, jiro's uniform and saburo's p.e. clothes didn't dry on time. he feels really sorry for troubling them…
2 🍲 people usually turn leftover curry into curry udon or curry risotto, but when ichiro makes curry at home, even if it's one whole pot, they dont usually have leftovers. even if he makes extra with the intention of having leftovers, his kid brothers keep asking for seconds and end up emptying the pot. they really eat well on their curry days [CRYING CRYING CRYING UUEUEUUEUE]
3 🥩 speaking of ~menu that's popular in the yamada family recently, ichiro wouldnt go out of his way to call it a ~menu but they all really love donburi made with chicken, pork, and beef all together with some yakiniku sauce. he was just stir-frying some leftover meat from their freezer, but he thinks you really can't miss with meat dishes. :)
4 🎁 the sender is the type to treat themselves to something delicious or buy something they've been wanting on days they feel like they worked hard, so they wonder if ichiro has days like those too. but more than himself, he likes to do things for his kid brothers when theyve worked hard. so he takes them to eat something delicious, or gives them something they've been wanting as a present… he feels happy when he sees them happy [CRYING CRYING UEUEUEUEU x2]
5 🎤 the last sender is asking ichirokun for advice on how to improve their own rap skill because theyre interested in it. according to ichiro, when it comes to rap, you just have to practice. it might be hard until you can feel like you're used to it, but you should keep doing rap battles. even if you lose, get your teeth into it until you win. then ichiro says even he's still got a long way to go, so we should all do our best.

1 📓 the sender says sometimes they start to be unable to distinguish novels from reality and wants to know if that ever happens to yumenosensei, too. gentaro says of course it happens. but in his case, it doesn't really matter which world line he's living on so he doesn't worry about every little thing.
2 🐸 as for a recent experience that can serve as inspiration for a novel, apparently once when he was walking between rice fields, there was a sudden downpour and he encountered tens of frogs croaking together. he thought it was good so he pretended to be a frog and join them [hello??] the feeling of rain pouring down on him and the splashing mud was pleasant so he was able to make merry in a world so new he could forget himself [hello?????]
3 🗑️ the sender wants to know if gentaro's come up with a story recently that got rejected and for what reason, as much as he's able to talk about. gentaro went and developed a new language by himself, and he tried writing a story in that language… the planning itself was good, but it was fatally flawed in that every time he went to revise it, it became less and less understandable. so he sadly had to dump it [he literally says he was holding back tears. drama queen].
4 🌀 as for gentaro's advice for curing the bad habit of putting things off for later, how about developing a habit of putting things first? start working on what's troublesome first, immediately address inquiries, always keep your surroundings tidy… this is something he also keeps in mind in his daily life. well, that's a lie.
5 🧍♂️ [this one's hard lol]. the sender asks How much [of gentaro i guess?] is real. gentaro says it's a trifling question, as he is a fully fledged human, and everything from the top of his head to the tip of his toes exists in reality. in other words, wouldn't his existence in itself be "real"? 1 🧼 the sender wants to know if ramudachan has his own way of lifting his spirts, and ramuda says it's tidying up his studio. when he feels down, the room usually gets all messy. when his stuff's spotless, he feels refreshed too, so he recommends cleaning :)
2 💝 the sender asks ramudasan what's something people do to him that makes him especially happy, and ramuda says it might be when oneesans come and ask him for real advice. ramuda's touched that they trust him with what their real feelings. since he's being relied on, he might also try to switch to his serious mode hehe ♪
3 ✨ the sender asks ramudakun what's the number one thing he values when he's designing something, and ramuda says it's making the people who wear clothes designed by him smile. of course, that it looks pretty is important, but he thinks it'd be really nice if they feel all "wahh ♪" when they put them on. clothes also wrap up people's moods, so brightening up their hearts is the best for him :)
4 🦋 ramuda thinks the secret to finding your individually is to maybe treasure the small things you like. he thinks that things that make you excited can become hints to your personality, so as long as you find what you like, it'll probably become part of your character ☆
5 💸 as for something scary that's happened recently… once when he was sleeping soundly, someone called him in the middle of the night begging for help… he thought it was scary at first but as he listened he realized it was dice. he went to go eat without noticing he'd dropped his money at some point, so ramuda and gentaro went out late at night to go pay for his meal. ramuda wanted to be angry but the situation was just dice all over so he ended up laughing instead.

1 👟 jiro says what he wants most right now is a pair of limited model sneakers! theyre the type he can wear even for soccer, and the design is really cool too. but it's really expensive… so hes gotta do his best on jobs for the yorozuya to get his hands on them!
2 📝 the first thing jiro does when he gets a low score on a test is… think of a hiding place. the gap in the bookshelf or under the bed are way too obvious for niichan… then he thinks iniside his guitar case would be good, wouldnt it? with this, preparations for his next test are all set!! 3 ❄️ a nice thing that happened recently is when he was sweeping up fallen leaves in front of their office, an obachan from the neighborhood gave him some candy. but it was some super spicy mint candy that cooled the inside of his mouth like the dead of winter and made him cry. his heart felt super warm though :)
4 🛏️ the sender asks jiro what's a time he was So glad he has brothers, and he says just today when he overslept, saburo who happened to be up early stromed into his room yelling "Wake up, idiot!!!" and then aniki tore his futon off of him With Great Force lol. thanks to that he woke up all at once, their double play really saved his ass lol… the way saburo addressed him was annoying as always though!
5 🌌 as for a small piece of trivia jiro's learned recently, he explains that the pattern of a soccer ball depicts galaxies and blackholes! every time you kick a ball, you feel the universe, isnt it terribly romantic? ……where'd he learn this, you ask? a light novel called Galaxy Soccer Chronicles ~The Menders of the Stars and The Legendary Infinity~, so what?? 1 💧 the sender is curious about what kind of independent research project someone like saburo would've done. well when saburo was in elementary school, he researched about the water quality in ikebukuro. he didn't just gather numbers of things like pH or COD [chemical oxygen demand btw lol] he compared the data from different angles and presented his findings. he was given an award for it at school but what stuck with him more was how ichinii praised him and said he did well :)
2 🎹 saburo's asked if he likes classical music, and he mentions that he often listens to it while he's studying. there's scientific research that proves that classical music like mozzart and bach helps improve one's focus.
3 🃏 when asked to talk about something that's happened recently that he wants to tell someone about, he tells a story about how when he was playing boardgames with his brothers, he ended up in the same camp as jiro and cooperating with him which is unusual. he wasnt sure what was gonna happen at that point but jiro had some weird ideas that had ichinii at their mercy and let them win. he's always at odds with jiro so he never thought the day would come when he'd high-five him lol.
4 💻 the sender asks if the day when ai wins would ever come, and saburo says that thinking of it as winning or losing is off the mark. ai specializes in computation, while humans possess intuition and emotion. it's meaningless to compare them, and it's instead better to make use of the strengths of both.
5 🧪 there's a math problem from the sender: there are 5 pieces of candy. you licked 4 of them. now how many are remaining? saburo's like ? there's obviously 1 left… then he goes Wait, if 4 are Digested then your body absorbs the sugar content. so you could say you have 1 left in your hand, but 4 of them are remaining in your body as energy. then if you consider metabolism, the remaining calories would be… well, this isn't a math problem any more, it goes into the territory of biochemistry. when prompted for the conclusion, he says not to bug him because he's busy untangling the logic of it right now lol.

2 🍇 speaking of something he's eaten for the first time recently, while they were out on a job out in harajuku, jiro wanted to try candied grape and shine muscat so they had some. it was just fruits coated in candy, so the taste was pretty predictable to saburo, but it was still delicious in its own right.
3 🖥️ the sender is worried about getting a stiff neck from doing deskwork, and so they ask saburokun what he's careful about when he uses his computer for a long time. now he says he knows what a stiff neck is, but he's never had one… [??? lmao] he feels sorry that he can't give an answer even though they went and sent a question…
4 📒 the sender is the type who just doesn't feel motivated during class and starts panicking doing lots of homework once the test season rolls around, so they want to know if saburokun ever gets unmotivated or sleepy, as well as what he does to deal with it. saburo says that according to one theory, people who can't feel motivated easily feel sleepy. in saburo's case, when a lesson's content is too easy for him, it really dampens his motivation, so he makes a his own study plan and puts it into practice during class.
5 🕹️ when it comes to making an effort to "update" one's skills, saburo believes that as a general rule, he should balance input and output, whether it's rap or programming, skill can't be polished by theory alone.

4 🪳 when something's annoying or unpleasant, samatoki doesn't really do anything. for him, annoying and unpleasant shit is just part of everyday life, he can't be bothered to worry about every little thing.
5 🎯 the sender wants to challenge themself to do something new and is asking samatoki for encouragement. samatoki says that if you decide on something, you better not half-ass it. basically, just do the best you can.
story starts with jiro getting off from a job that took longer to finish than expected. he wants to hurry back because he absolutely cant miss a live broadcast of some soccer match, so he dashes home lol.
jiro rushes in shouting he's backand saburo sighs at him being noisy because what if there was a client in the office? jiro's just happy he made it on time, so he goes and changes the channel, which pisses saburo off. jiro says it should fine, it's not like he was watching, but it was a commercial break so of course saburo wasn't looking.
saburo changes the channel back and jiro also gets pissed because his soccer broadcast was about to start. saburo tells him to shut up because he wants to watch his boardgame world championship broadcast, which jiro argues he can just watch on the internet.
saburo wants to watch it on a bigger screen so he can see the players' movements more clearly, so jiro should watch his broadcast in his room! but jiro claims that sports is more intense if you watch it on a big screen, so saburo should go watch in his room.
jiro changes the channel again, and saburo gets mad, telling him to change it back because the next game is starting. jiro doesnt wanna because hes set on watching on a big screen, so saburo starts throwing hands lol.
it's because jiro cant just do what he wants snatching the tv from him like that. then for some reason he brings chimpanzees into it and says theyre smarter than jiro? lol. they start fighting. ichiro comes home to it and theyre both like あっ…… lol
next chapter starts with ichiro sad they're fighting again and saburo says it's jiro's fault for doing things without any regard for him, but jiro insists if saburo just gave in it from the start it wouldnt have turned into a fight. and saburo argues he shouldnt have had to but ichiro tells them to stop fighting already.
saburo still pleads his case- he was watching on the tv first and jiro went and changed the channel, even citing stupid reasons like how sports are supposed to be watched on a big screen... ichiro asks if that's true and jiro reluctantly says it is, so ichiro takes jiro aside and brings him up to his room to talk.
ichiro tells him that no matter how much he wanted to watch his soccer match, he still shouldn't have just snatched the tv from saburo while he was watching- but jiro knows that best, doesn't he? jiro apologizes, he got worked up because he really wanted to watch today's match...
ichiro suggests just properly telling saburo that. jiro's worried about it turning into another fight, but ichiro doesn't think that will happen; if he's sincere about it, saburo would surely react differently. so jiro decides to give it a shot. ichiro encourages him by reminding him to apologize first and make up with saburo. jiro thanks his niichan and goes off.
jiro goes back to the office and calls for saburo, who replies like What? he's irritated that jiro even went and troubled ichinii like that, he can't believe a guy like jiro's his brother... jiro starts to get mad, but decides he can't get annoyed about this. instead, he lowers his head and says sorry for going too far earlier, also he really absolutely wants to watch this match on a big screen so could he please have the tv?
saburo wordlessly changes the channel after that, which surprises jiro. saburo hmphs, saying it looks like the match's starting so jiro should quit standing around and come sit down. as for the boardgame tournament, he already saw the player he wanted to watch most, and there'll be an archive anyways.
jiro's visibly touched and saburo tells him not to get the wrong idea, he just- thought it would be nice to watch soccer every once in a while, too... jiro chuckles at that and says they can watch together, declaring he'll teach saburo how interesting soccer can be. saburo argues that even if jiro doesn't teach him he already knows, though jiro doubts that.
there's definitely stuff saburo doesnt know yet, so after the match, jiro wants to take saburo to the park to play. as saburo' tells him to cut it 's telling him to cut it out and not decide shit on his own, ichiro comes in and sees the scene, asking if jiro's explaining stuff to saburo.
jiro asks niichan to come watch with them. saburo wants to watch together with ichinii too, though he's busy with work... ichiro's able to take a break from it, the three of them can watch a match together every now and then. besides, today's match seems to be one that shouldn't be missed. jiro assures the two of them that it'll be exciting for them, too, and goes dash again to grab some cola to drink while watching :)
story starts with saburo... playing a soccer video game with ichiro lol. saburo does a pass to the right side, ichiro doesn't have any members he can move to defend and can only hope his keeper can catch incoming shots.,. then saburo activates his member's special skill, further increasing the direct shoot stat which makes him win!
ichiro groans about losing; when it comes to games where you have to use your head he's no match for saburo... though ichiro was also doing some plays that made it hard to think it was his first time playing this game, saburo was worried for himself back there lol. anyway ichiro thinks this game was really interesting, it's been a while since he got this fired up.
saburo's just about to ask ichiro to go another round before jiro comes home when... jiro comes home. ichiro says he came home later than usual today and asks if he dropped by somewhere on the way back. well jiro's friends have a soccer match tomorrow so he helped them practice lots, since theyre determined not to lose~ he was also thinking of going to cheer them on. since there's no jobs tomorrow, ichiro also considers going.
saburo also says he wants to go. jiro thinks it's completely fine but niichan aside, why does saburo want to go too...? since when has he been interested in soccer? since Today lol <3 thanks to the video game he became interested in soccer tactics. if he watches a real-life soccer match he might get new ideas for winning, which jiro concedes does make sense. saburo's looking forward to seeing what amateur soccer tactics are like with his own eyes~ though when he says that jiro's like what the hell are you on about... lol
scene cuts to the next day during the match. jiro is cheering and ichiro's really excited by how seriously the two teams are playing. meanwhile saburo is... taking notes. he thought it would just be plain old soccer but it seems everyone's properly thinking about strategies in this match.
he's particularly interested in the guy with jersey number 6 who's good at keeping the ball and controlling the flow of the match. jiro points out he's giving out directions too, so he's probably the team's playmaker, and saburo's impressed he can direct others accurately without sacrificing the quality of his own plays...
then suddenly out on the field three players collide with each other and fall trying to stop a shoot with their bodies. jiro runs off to have a closer look, and ichiro tells saburo they should go too in case they need help... thankfully it wasnt anything serious, just light sprains for everyone involved.
-but with this their team's down two players, while the other team's down one player. jiro thinks it might be hard to win here... saburo also notes that unlike the other team, they don't have subs... ichiro says that apparently the match can continue even with this unavoidable difference in the number of players...
-jiro's friend comes running up to him, and jiro acknowledges him with an お疲れ and introduces him to his niichan. more importantly, his friend asks if they can request him as an extra member because they really dont wanna lose like this, calling for jiro... and his oniisan too, if possible...! of course jiro's game, if his friends are in trouble he'll do everything he can to help! ichiro's also happy to contribute
jiro's friend thanks them then says sorry for asking for more, but they need someone to direct them... their playmaker's still getting treatment and all... but jiro doesnt think hes suitable for that... then ichiro gets the idea to ask saburo to give orders from the bench, which saburo's like えっ……？ about [baby <3]
next chapter starts right after with saburo confirming ichiro means putting him in charge of directions. ichiro thinks saburo's good at coming up with strategies, plus there may be things that saburo can only pick up on from outside the playing field, which saburo reluctantly agrees with...
internally he laments that there isnt time for him to think calmly like when he's playing a video game, and being the replacement for player number 6 should be a big responsibility... but...! he takes it on! he'll lead the team to victory with his strategies [go baby <3]
scene cuts to saburo getting to it <3 starting with reorganizing their formation, he noticed during the first half that the other team defends pretty heavily, so he wants jiro forward. he also wants ichinii to keep the other team's members moves in check from a defense position in the midfield. saburo'll keep giving instructions as needed during the match, so he tells them to make sure not to miss it.
so far things are going well after that but they cant seem to score much... it seems that a single point would decide the outcome of the match... saburo's convinced they'll break through, he just has to determine the weak point of the other team...
-after a while, saburo finds it. the other team tends to react just a little more slowly to attacks from the right side, so they might be able to use the opening there... but there's also the possibility that they'll counter if they try to penetrate there so saburo concludes they have only one chance.
-once ichinii has the ball saburo decides it's time to try, shouting at him and jiro. jiro catches on quickly, asking for niichan to pass him the ball over there [jiro says 神パス so cute <3] with that jiro gets that goal in!!
-they win in the end and ichiro thanks saburo for the nice cues. jiro says it was a tough development but it turned into a great match with their coordination. anyway ichiro asks saburo how it felt being the brains of an actual operation and saburo says the tension was different from when he's playing a video game so it was a valuable experience. in irl soccer not everything goes as planned so in that way it's interesting for him :)
-jiro says that if saburo had fun, he'd be glad to have saburo come on during a match he's participating in next time :) and saburo's like hmph if he has time he'll think about it~ he guesses doing soccer outside of video games isnt so bad~
story starts with ichiro calling saburo over to tell him a sudden job came up so he wants saburo's help with organizing some documents. saburo's happy to do it of course :) he sends ichiro off to his job with a do-your-best and gets to work- since ichinii's counting on him, he wants to perfectly meet his expectations!
he goes to find the file where all the documents are, and it's heavier than he thought. he's really surprised by the amount, because it's only this month's share. he gets it, but it's still a lot. he thinks about how ichinii is usually dealing with this much work by himself even though he has a bunch of other jobs so that he doesnt burden him and jiro...
saburo makes up his mind: if he simply does what he was asked, it's not really Helping ichinii, so he should digitize everything. this way, itll be much easier to look through.
saburo finishes digitizing all the details of the jobs they've done after a while, happy that this will make thing easier from now on. all that's left is to put back all the files he took out of the shelves, but he struggles with it. taking them out was easy but putting them back... he forces it and shit falls out and all the files get mixed and messed up... he wants to hurry up and fix it before ichinii gets back- but then jiro comes home and asks what the hell saburo's doing.
the next chapter starts with jiro commenting about the huge mess, what happened... saburo tells him to shut up, it has nothing to do with him, but jiro notices it's the documents from their jobs. saburo says he was organizing it because ichinii asked him to, but his hand slipped when he was putting them back in the shelves... anyway it has nothing to do with him so he shouldnt stand around and get in his way, he should go piss off somewhere!!
since it can't be helped, jiro goes and starts helping- he'll gather the files and saburo can file them back in order. saburo tells him it's unnecessary, he can do everything by himself, he'll help ichinii out as yorozuya yamada's no.2!!! jiro insists though since it'll be faster if two of them work on it. saburo isn't happy to have to be helped by jiro but he can't deny that it would be faster to divide labor like this, so he just tells jiro not to slow him down lol.
they finish eventually and jiro's like See? it Was faster when they worked together! anyway, why were all those other files out, too? saburo said niichan only asked to organize this month's files and stuff. saburo wanted to make a database of all their jobs up until now, since it's troublesome to have to look for something in that mountain of paperwork every time. jiro thinks that's amazing and saburo hmphs like. it's about time jiro realized how great he is lol.
just then ichiro comes home. saburo's eager to report that he finished filing the documents like he asked, then show him the database he made! but then jiro says welcome home too niichan first and says to listen to what saburo did today
jiro runs up to ichiro and saburo's scared jiro's gonna tell him that he went and made a mess of the documents earlier- so he runs after jiro and tells him He'll report to ichinii and if jiro says unnecessary shit he won't let him off- but then jiro's just showing off what saburo made.
saburo goes え...... jiro tells ichiro all about how saburo amazingly digitized all their request documents, even the past ones, so checking it and stuff will be much easier! ichiro's also amazed that saburo did this for him on top of the files he asked him to work on, and saburo says he just wanted to make things easier for ichinii... ichiro says it's really helpful and thanks him :)
saburo says this much is a given from him, and jiro's like Good for you saburo! saburo's still shaken and when jiro asks if he isnt happy, saburo thinks about how jiro didnt even bother mentioning that he helped clean up after his mess... jiro calls him weird, and saburo calls him an idiot before proceeding to thank jiro for helping him out. it's no big deal to jiro, saburo should just respect him more as his great older bro from now on! saburo calls him stupid for getting carried away, he shouldnt have expressed his gratitude to this guy!! lol
-the story starts with ramuda really liking how what he's working on is going, he thinks he might just be a genius ☆ now that he's got prototypes it's time to call gentaro and dice over ♪ when they come, he happily shows off his cool-cute design.
-gentaro comments that for something ramuda designed, it's quite simpler than usual. dice says that it looks easy to move in, is he going exercising? well they're right! it's a uniform for table tennis. gentaro continues, noting that though the colorway is very much like ramuda, it looks fully functional as sportswear, too.
-ramuda was requested to create it with an importance on fashionability in mind, but he used the chance to design something that's functional, too. if it's cute and nothing else it won't be used in the end, so ramuda studied in his own way and was particular about the way he designed it.
-then gentaro asked if ramuda just wanted to hear their thoughts on his design, though dice says he doesn't really know shit about clothes. ramuda wants them to wear some samples and move in them for him, since he wants opinions from people who's actually worn them so he can make the clothes more suitable for enjoying sports!!
-he gets them to wear the samples and thinks it suits the two of them well! ramuda eagerly asks arisugawa-senshu his impression after trying it on. dice says compared to other clothes that are hard to figure out how to wear [that ramuda's put him in im guessing] this was easy to change into. as for gencharo-senshu, he says it doesn't have a bad feel as he's wearing it, and the texture is good, too.
-ramuda then decides to take them out to play table tennis just like that!! he might find points of improvement once they've actually tried moving in them for real. gentaro says he doesnt mind, but dice says he's got to go pachinko parlor-hopping- he means, he's got some important errands to run, so he tries to pass. ramuda says that he'll reward them by treating them to a meal after, and dice says he shouldve said so sooner!! of couse he'll come with!! he's looking forward to playing table tennis!!
-the next chapter starts with ramuda complimenting gentaro's table tennis skills. apparently he's honed them at onsen resorts and is happy to display them lol. dice says he's probably just lying again, they're still tied after all. gentaro's amused dice saw through his lie. anyway ramuda keeps it moving, saying it's dice's turn to serve. he watches them for a while, happy they seem to be having fun.
-then he asks them to stop for a bit and asks how it feels to be moving in the clothes. dice answers that he hasnt felt anything off- in fact he's sweated a lot but he doesnt feel gross. that's because ramuda specifically chose a quick-drying material. gentaro adds that if he Had to say anything, it's that he feels like the cloth is catching a little under his armpit, so ramuda makes some notes to adjust it by adding more stretch material. after that, dice and gentaro are eager to get back to playing.
-ramuda watches them some more quietly before he complains that only the two of them are having fun, he wants to play table tennis with them too, and challenges them to a 2v1 match. as he gets a bunch of points dice and gentaro are surprised by how much talent he has for it lol.
-ramuda says that he actually watched a lot of table tennis videos as reference for his design, and it looked fun so he's practiced a lot ☆ so he won't lose to the two of them! he tells them to come at him more <3
-ramuda's happy to have played a lot. dice also thinks it's not bad to move his body like this every once in a while, gentaro is feeling refreshed too. more importantly gentaro is curious if ramuda found anything when it came to the uniforms. dice agrees, since halfway through it ramuda looked like he was more focused on just playing lol.
-ramuda says it went well, he found many points of improvement thanks to the two of them :) he feels like he just has to do his best and sprint to finishing working on these clothes, which dice is glad to hear. then ramuda takes them to treat them to a meal just like he promised. gentaro says he's famished after exercising for the first time in a while, and dice is starving too so he won't hesitate lol. ramuda's excited to eat with his posse until they're all full yay <3
-saburo thinks that's reasonable since the keeper of the other team is pretty good, according to the information they got. he was even chosen for the jfa national training system before. he's gonna be a strong opponent so jiro wants to perfect a shoot he's practicing and score some points. then he leaves and says he'll be back by dinner!
-story starts with jiro coming home just to put his stuff down before heading out. saburo comments on how he's in a rush and ichiro asks if he's going to practice soccer for a job he's on. jiro's determined to practice because he got requested to help a team out, he definitely wants to contribute to the win since soccer's his forte too~
-scene cuts to jiro practicing on a futsal field but it's not going well. he wonders if he should change the position from where he steps in a little- he's hitting where he's aiming, but the course isn't what he's envisioning, it has to curve more... besides in a real match he'll have to worry about defense from other members on top of the keeper, so if he cant even do this during practice...
-he notices how late it's gotten- he wants to practice more, but it's almost dinnertime... but then ichiro and saburo show up. saburo comments that he looks like he's working hard, and ichiro asks how it's going. jiro's surprised to see niichan and even saburo, what were they doing there?
-ichiro says he was curious about how his practice was going, and asks if jiro's perfected the curve shoot he was talking about. jiro says he has a bit more to go, he wants the course to break more sharply. though saburo also noticed jiro was getting the ball into the goal, isnt that enough yet? jiro says that considering the skills of the keeper on the other team, he could easily catch the ball if the curve isnt good enough..
-then jiro gets the idea to ask niichan to act as another member on defense- if they're as athletic as niichan then having ichiro help him out would be good practice for a level close to the real thing. ichiro happily agrees. then jiro asks saburo to watch and if he figures something out he should tell him! saburo acts reluctant for all of a second before saying it's for a job after all, so he has no choice but to lend him a hand lol.
-scene cuts to after sunset where jiro's just pulled it off. ichiro thinks it was a great shoot, the keeper won't be able to keep up with it! saburo also says it's good jiro could succeed at this before the real thing, so he'll probably be fine tomorrow too. jiro thanks niichan and saburo for helping him practice- he'll definitely help the team win so they should look forward to it!!
-scene cuts to the match already starting, jiro's team on the offensive and jiro cutting through the defense. ichiro points out that jiro's gotten his groove back, which saburo is happy about but jiro shouldnt have made him worry like that [lol?? ok] ichiro says they should watch over jiro's play from here.
-next chapter starts with jiro doing some practice shots on the day of, but it's not going well even though he got it down pat yesterday... saburo and ichiro are there too, watching, and saburo points out to ichinii that jiro's losing his cool from not being able to do his shoot, will he be ok...? the match is starting soon... ichiro guesses jiro's just probably a little nervous before the match, there won't be a problem since jiro's the type to break through when it counts.
-jiro's teammate passes the ball to him. he thinks that in this position he's still pretty far from the goal-but he should try that shoot before the defense catches up to him! he hits it and scores a goal, with saburo recognizing the move and ichiro being impressed that jiro really could pull it off during the match!
-jiro's really happy about scoring the first point, with his teammate complimenting it (ナイッシュー！ so cute lol) and asking what the hell was up with that, it curved a lot?? jiro throws it back at him by saying his pass was great, it was thanks to that that jiro could get that great shot in!!
-saburo's relieved for the time being, and ichiro comments that because of this the other team will probably keep their eye on him. the match's just begun, jiro!! saburo then says because jiro practiced That much, he's sure he'll win. jiro's determined to score as many points as he can and hypes his team up for the win :)

happy new year <3 it's been a while lol. detailed summary of the event 招福！縁起物ロワイヤル～福は天下の回りもの～ (2025/12/26~) theres some confusing parts because of a lot of like. traditional culture trivia and overall chaos but anyway saburo is cute as always :)
-story starts with saburo telling ichi-nii he's worrying too much about leaving him alone at home for a couple of days, he'll be fine. jiro points out it's because he's still a middle schooler lol wont he get lonely and cry? saburo retorts that jiro should worry about himself, he's always messing up and getting in ichi-nii's way, so he should put all his efforts into not messing up so much, saburo's sooo sure he's gonna make a bunch of mistakes and trouble ichi-nii
-jiro thinks saburo's just jealous jiro was chosen to go with ichiro on this job because there's physical labor involved and it would be a burden to bring someone like saburo lol. anyway ichiro stops the fight there- he's counting on jiro this time for the job, and he's counting on saburo to housesit.
-his brothers leave and hes still miffed, even if he isnt Strong hes super smart and he can still help ichinii out... he goes to his room and sighs because he cant even enjoy a game he always enjoys after jiro said annoying stuff to him... he considers making a mess in jiro's room to get back at him (hello??? lmao)
-the doorbell rings and he goes to the office to find a customer looking for ichirosan. since his brothers are unfortunately out on a business trip he offers to hear them out instead. when the customer goes "....you?" saburo proudly declares he's yorozuya yamada's number 2 lmao.
-saburo has the guest sit down and they tell him their request: theyre a collector of all sorts of beckoning cats from all eras, and the championship prize for a Talisman Royale event thats gonna be held in a couple of days in the togoshi-ginza shopping district (apparently the longest in tokyo) is a golden beckoning cat that they really really want for their collection.
-sudden work came up and they cant attend the event anymore, so they wanted ichirosan to participate and win for them because they heard hes done plenty of work where he participates in various events for clients and wins the prizes for them (hello? lol) saburo's proud to say his brother is amazing and that that amazing brother acknowledges Him so hes amazing too btw <3 why not leave this request to him? :)
-scene changes to jyuto chasing a rabbit poacher in the forest, threatening that he'll use his mic if they dont stop running. even if god can forgive them for poaching rabbits, he, iruma jyuto, will Not (lmao). the poacher refuses to get caught by jyuto and jyuto thinks it's a pity- getting caught by him wouldve been safer than. .. . .. . stumbling into a pitfall when they run away deeper into the forest thinking they cant be found easily there lol.
-riou shows up and says that foolish poachers who steal animals inhabiting this forest should be punished. as for the punishment, he's got a mystery box, the contents of which he drops into the pitfall- it's snakes lol. but no worries, the venom's not deadly lol. they should simmer in their foolishness while getting bitten (riou?????)
-jyuto shows up and sighs. this is why he said it wouldve been better if they just surrendered which they do now while begging for help lol. jyuto tells riou to let them up and riou does. jyuto and riou talk about how among the rabbits living in this forest there's a species that has some golden fur and are going for a lot of money. jyuto wants to find the rabbits that have already been sold off and let them go back into the forest as much as possible...
-jyuto gets a call from samatoki who goes "yo, bunny cop!" (ウサ公<3) and jyuto's like "what?" lol. says he's in the middle of work with riou-which excites samatoki because that means he doesnt have to waste time contacting him too. he orders them to come meet him at his office Right Now if they dont he'll kill them lol. then he just hangs up like that lol. while jyuto thinks he's being unreasonable riou thinks something mightve happened so they should hurry over there after taking the poacher to the station.
-they arrive to samatoki's office where samatoki shows them a flyer for the talisman royale event and says he wants the championship prize. jyuto sees the prize is a golden beckoning cat and asks samatoki when the hell he got into stuff like this- samatoki says it's not him, it's the family boss who's apparently a big beckoning cat collector and whose birthday is pretty close and he wants to get it for him as a present.
-samatoki wants jyuto and riou to participate too to increase the chances of winning, and jyuto's about to say he's too busy for that shit when riou points out that the prize isnt just the golden beckoning cat- there's also a rabbit with golden fur, which is probably one that's been nabbed from the forest... so jyuto makes up his mind to join the dumb event- not that they have any right to say no, according to samatoki lol.
-scene changes to rosho coming home to his place where sasara and rei are already hanging out and ready to drink like always. rosho complains about how theyve gotten used to just coming in and drinking as they like lmao. rei thinks it's too late to say stuff like that he should just hurry up and chug which he happily does anyway. sasara says theres plenty more!
-rosho says he has work the next day so he cant drink alcohol that's too strong. it's saturday the next day but he has to finish grading tests lol. then he asks if theyre off- rei says theres never any time off in his business of keeping up his manly reputation (? he said 漢を売る商売 not sure what that really means idc enough to probe) which rosho calls fishy, and sasara's going to tokyo to emcee for the talisman royale event which makes rosho wonder: if sasara is going to tokyo the next day is it fine for him drinking until this late?? lol. but ofc sasarasan is completely fine even if they drink until morning- rosho says he isn't going to keep him company until morning...
-rei comments that the talisman royale sounds interesting. sasara explains it's an event focusing on talismans(/lucky charms) and the winner gets some luxurious prizes and shows him the details. a golden beckoning cat is cool, but there's also some rei-zankyou (possibly a parody of this expensive alcohol called zankyou made by a company called reika maybe? this is all google gave me lol if im wrong sorry). anyway rei explains it's a legendary japanese alcohol that's said to be the most delicious in the world and only 33 bottles are produced every year...
-while rosho thinks it's amazing rei makes up his mind then and there to participate in the event to get the alcohol and sasara's like If he wins they should all drink the alcohol together~! rosho's looking forward to that but shouldnt rei be busy doing his manly business or whatever? well rei claims flexibility is a privilege of the business too which rosho thinks is awfully convenient but whatever he'll look forward to drinking that alcohol lol.
-scene changes to the day itself at togoshi ginza. saburo is determined to win in order to avoid tarnishing ichi-nii's name. though he notes there's a great number of participants. he runs into riou who he immediately calls greedy for being lured in by the prize (????? saburo...) riou doesnt deny that he was lured in by the prize but it's not for any greedy goal- it's for the sake of protecting the peace of the forest (riou.? ... . . ) saburo's like. Then did his team members also came for the sake of that so-called peace or??
-unfortunately samatoki and jyuto couldnt make it because of some urgent business so riou's determined to win no matter what which is the same as saburo. rei also comes around and saburo's like. he wouldnt say he came to protect the peace of the forest or some vague shit like that too would he. rei's like ? he's just here for the alcohol lol. riou declares that all three of them are enemies aiming to win the championship,,
-the talisman royale event finally starts with sasara introducing himself as the emcee. he also explains the mechanics for the games. the first is a Talisman Race which is just a sprint through the loooong shopping district of togoshi ginza, which saburo mentally notes will be tough for him. the second is Talisman Plushie Scavenger Hunt where contestants will gather plushies placed all over the shopping district using a map that will be given to them, which riou likens to searching for an enemy so he's good at that lol.
-the third is a Talisman Quiz where the three people who get the highest points in the first and second game can participate. the quiz is all about talismans or lucky charms and the person with the most points wins. sasara also forgot to mention that the participants have to wear costumes from the seven lucky gods (七福神). [in the next scenes and according to the names of their cards this is who they are: saburo - daikokuten (god agriculture and prosperity) / riou - bishamonten (god of war) / rei - ebisu (god of fishing and commerce)]
-scene changes to the start of the games. sasara is comentating lol. busujima-senshu and amayado-senshu are ahead! rei tells riou if he runs at full-power, he'll lose steam at the latter half. riou says running on a street like this is no problem for him lol. rei's like sasuga ex-soldier lol. saburo is behind panting from exertion at how fast they are. busujima being fast is whatever but how could that amayado run at that age without running out of breath lmao.
-it's between riou and rei towards the goal and rei is says it's time for him to speed up so riou does the same lol. riou wins- he has something he has to accomplish after all. rei's gracious about it. yamada-senshu ends in last place btw lol. sasara asks the audience for a round of applause but saburo's pissed about being last- if jiro found out he'd never hear the end of it.
-they move onto the next event and saburo's determined not to lose this time. theyre given codes to solve in order to find the hidden plushies. sasara says the number of points earned depends on each plushie. riou thinks it's simple for him, saburo declares he'll get the most points, and rei thinks he'll take it easy and have fun.
-[man im looking at riddles again. is it really a saburo story without these at this point. i dont like to linger on these but because this one's language related i'll make a note of it for my personal reference] a hint says "the highest part of fire next to ham" (ハムの横にある炎。そこの一番高いところに) ham (ハム) refers to public (公 <-ハ+ム ) and fire (炎) can be red as エン so 公+エン=the park (公園). the highest part in a park is the roof of the public toilets there. knowing the place is one thing but he wonders how he should climb up to the roof...
-riou shows up and fucking. runs along the wall to climb up lol. he finds the plushie and saburo whines that he found it first... riou says this is a battlefield and he cant win as long as he says feeble shit like that. then he runs off with saburo shouting after him that he'll definitely get the next one.
-the scene cuts to the end and sasara announces that the person with the most points is... amayado-senshu!! yamada-senshu came in second, and busujima-senshu came in third. riou's embarrassed to have suffered such a defeat. saburo's also disappointed because he did his best to recover from the first round... he'll win the next one for sure!!
-the last is the talisman quiz for the three players with the most points. saburo has to win first place... rei says he's pretty confident when it comes to knowledge too. riou is also determined. sasara reads out the first question: "if you see this on the first dream of the new year..." (初夢に見ると---) rei answers quickly: hawk (鷹) [note: i think that's the answer because sasara says に, following the proverb "一富士二鷹三茄子" that says it's apparently auspicious to dream about mt.fuji, a hawk, or an eggplant on new year's day. read about hatsuyume here if youre curious] rei thinks it's way too easy.
-the next question is "if a beckoning cat is raising its right paw, it's inviting luck with money--" then riou answers quickly to say "customers" which i guess he says because the question wouldve eventually asked what it means when beckoning cats raise its left paw? who knows whats happening here. anyway here read more about maneki neko]
-saburo is Losing. hes very frustrated at this point lol like he just isnt fast enough. so if it's gonna be like this... sasara's just started saying the next question about four-leaf clovers when saburo presses the button. sasara thinks it's way too fast but saburo answers anyway: hope, love/affection, faith/trust, and happiness/good fortune. [note: apparently that's what four-leaf clover represents. never heard of it lol]. sasara says it's right, the question was gonna be what each leaf expresses on a clover.
-rei and riou are fired up too lol. sasara's barely got two syllables of the next question out before saburo pressed on his buzzer and answers december 28th?? which is correct!! apparently the question was gonna be when it's auspicious to put up shimekazari and kagami mochi lol. saburo's really in it now lol then it fades out to more quizzing i guess lol.
-back at the yorozuya office saburo is telling ichiro that story and showing his prize off. in the end three of them tied with their points. jiro wonders how saburo could get a prize in that case. well since the three of them wanted different prizes it was decided all three of them would be declared as the campions lol. the event was to ~stimulate the economy of the area and people were plenty excited already so it seems it was fine to end it like that. jiro says he did pretty good and saburo cringes saying he wasnt doing his best so that jiro would praise him... lmao
-in the forest riou is freeing the bunny and jyuto is thanking him. riou says he was just doing the right thing, though samatoki's pissed he didnt win the beckoning cat. riou explains that because of the tie, they could only take one of the three prizes each. samatoki decides he can't complain since this is what riou has to show for devoting himself like that. jyuto suggests going home but since theyre all the way here anyway, riou offers to cook them up some special rabbit dish- jyuto and samatoki are dumbstruck and riou says he's just joking, he'll cook them up some big snakes instead :) samatoki and jyuto wish hes still joking lol
-at rosho's place it's just the three of them going "cheers!" and the story ends there lol.

-while it's obvious that you can watch races at the racecourse, there's a lot of delicious food too! dice suggests taking our time eating at the food court or restaurants, or we can buy beer from a kitchen car and watch the race with beer in one hand!! there's a lot but dice's recommendations are the 大穴ドーナツ or the G1焼き. the あまおうソフト and the モカソフト are popular too! he hopes we can find something we like while looking at a gourmet map or the event flyer :-)

-dice bets it's surprising to see how wide and huge a horse racecourse is in person! there's two courses where the かっけーumatachi run: one with grass, called the turf course, and one with sand, called the dirt course. dice also mentions that the directions of racecourses are different too depending on the venue! in the tokyo racecourse, it's counterclockwise, and in hanshin racecourse [note: hanshin is in hyogo, near osaka and kobe, and it's the other place where this umajo collab will be held after here in tokyo] it's clockwise. dice says it's interesting because different horses are better at running one way or the other!
also, in the tokyo racecourse, you can enter the field inside of the course called 馬場内. there's playground equipment for kids or food fests when there are big races so we should explore every corner of it :-)

-dice introduces the original sweets as the special feature of umajo spot plus. there's stuff that's common across all the different racecourses all over the country, but there's also stuff that's exclusive to each! for example, all racecourses have UMAJOカタヌキバウム and おウマのフロランタン, and they also sell miscellaneous horse-related goods [cute accessories, stickers, etc!!]. they also sometimes hold events that ladies would enjoy so we have to go!! lol
paddock
-dice is sure we've at least heard of the paddock- but why aren't the horses running? it's not a place for racing!! it's the place where you can check on the condition of the horses before they go to race, like their muscles or their gait. apparently you can also judge a horse's advantages and disadvantages by how they act when they're excited- though that's pretty difficult... it might be good to find a horse that would likeee startle at the start of the race... also there arent many opportunities to see famous jockeys and horses this close so we should watch them carefully!

-[note: turfy is jra's official mascot who is under sanrio btw!] turfy shop is a souvenir shop where we can get a lot of different goods so dice wants us to go inside and take our time perusing!! he makes a special mention of the idol horse series of nuis of famous horses, the small size is perfect for putting on bags and stuff! dice also has one on him!! [the one he's wearing on the collab visual is do deuce!] there's also some umajo original goods and other exclusive stuff so we should look for them too. he also wants to buy something here for ramuda and gentaro if he wins--oops he's gotta go!! he has to start making his bets for the next race!!
