That's really rough, what happened to him?

He was in an accident which resulted in a femur fracture. Because of the fracture he developed fat emboli syndrome. The fat emboli were able to travel to his brain because of an unknown cardiac defect. He was left with very, very severe brain damage. I spent 9 days in the ICU with him, he went through 2 craniotomies, and never once moved an inch on his own or opened his eyes. We withdrew care and he was able to be an organ donor.
