this is a little surprise Valentines gift fic for @babbushka. she literally had no idea that this was coming because I, too, did not know this was coming until I wrote it lmao. I’ll never write mob Kylo as well as she does, but I hope I did him some justice!

The night before a big job is always the worst.
A gloomy air hangs over the house as you and Kylo ready yourselves for what’s to come when the sun rises. He never sleeps well, but tonight, he’s particularly restless. Going toe-to-toe with Leia’s gang is weighing heavily on him, heavier than he’s let anyone believe.
He finally relents to his insomnia and sits up with a soft huff, looking over his shoulder at your sleeping form. The sight brings a small smile to his face and he reaches over to gently run one of his large hands over your relaxed figure.
I’m so in love with you, he thinks as he admires your peaceful expression.
I’ll keep you safe no matter what.
