The arena lights shone dull and grey. Yuuri’s eyes wandered through the rink sides, looking for a distraction. His freeskate would start in a matter of minutes but his mind was scattered far away at home. His hands shook. The final notes of Stammi Vicino faded out as a sign that it was his turn to take to the ice. The crowd burst out in deafening applause. Not for him, but today it didn't even feel like it mattered. Yuuri took an unsteady breath and raised his eyes to face the ice. And suddenly, the world exploded into color.
