So for the longest time I thought it was flavor text that the Liars Blade glowed Everytime the user lied or used it to cast spells and that it was subtle enough to not be too noticeable only for me to check the ep10 cold open after I drew the whole strip only to realize I??? Hallucinated that? I still have a later strip that still uses this punchline so when you guys see that uh. Look away. ^_^
I know Luis talked about Azune’s spells having the side effect (or intended effect?) of making the recipient loop through memories, but I don’t know if Azune knows that, I think he’s going purely off of intuition rather than physical indicators that he's casting a spell on another person/doesn’t cast spells on other people often. (Luis made a remark that him casting Guidance on Murray was the first time he did so on another person, if he meant that in the campaign or ever in Azune's life is up to interpretation but I’d like to think it was the latter)

it's been a long time in wait until i could post this piece (drawn in fall 2023), and this drawing was very formative for me - swooping lines, lineart with a loose hand, loose and less perfectionist colouring, watercolour brushes building up colour, using more texture - all of my drawings changed from here on.
i also made a thick acrylic charm (this is a photo for my personal store and is a standee, so it varies slightly from the zine store version)
