Confession 8
I haven’t took the time to grieve the loss of our friendship.. I guess that’s why I’m typing this now.
Every meaningful relationship will always have ups and downs, but if you were to ask me 10 years ago that I’d be doing life without you now, I’d laugh because that’s fuckin ridiculous and you’d agree. Biologically, I don’t have a sister but you were mine. My sister, my bestfriend. How did we get here? We’ve fallen out in the past and a l w a y s found our way back but this time?! I didn’t think growing up together will eventually lead us to growing apart. We can point fingers at each other all day and put the blame on one another as to why we no longer speak, but I think we’re both aware that if we were to try again, it will never be the same.
I’m no longer angry, but I am sad. I know I will never find another friendship like ours and for that, I’d always be grateful for you. Sometimes I find myself wanting to text you something random, like me seeing a cute dog or wanting to share wedding things because that was our thing. I don’t try to replace our friendship because if I’m being honest, no one can replace you. I miss what we had, but I’ve accepted there is no more ‘us’ and I wish you well.
