Not to alarm anyone, but for no reason at all I’d like to point out that the American media company Knight Ridder was headquartered in Miami, Florida from 1974 to 1998. Which could mean nothing! Daniel names them in his Masterclass ad in the IWTV pilot too. ("I've been fired from three papers, hired back at two of them. Third got gobbled up by Knight Ridder.") They owned papers all over the country... including the Miami Herald. But "the blackout years at"? The homophone of it all?

God IWTV is so crazy, they really have something for everyone. If you're normal they have Loustat fucking halfway through the first episode of season one and continuing to be unabashedly in love the rest of the series. And if you're a neurodivergent lesbian who can't get off to anything but a glacially snail-paced slow burn, they have Daniel pushing Armand against a wall in season 3 episode 4.
