The Reality of My Art Space: A BJD Faceup Workstation Tour
It took me a long time to find the courage to show my BJD faceup workstation "Before and After" a session.
For a while, looking at the curated art corners on YouTube and Instagram made my own space feel like a toddler’s playground. It isn't fancy; it’s simple and straightforward. However, after visiting the studios of many talented artists here in Hamilton, I realized that most of us actually work at messy or modest stations. Seeing their real-life tables gave me the confidence to finally share mine with you.
When I’m in the zone, I love having everything right in front of me. The truth is, painting a BJD faceup doesn't require an expensive setup or high-end furniture. While it gets cluttered while I work, I always make a point to re-organize my corner after every session—mostly because a messy table stresses me out!
If you look closely at the photos, you’ll notice that I reuse a lot of containers, from old bubble tea cups to chocolate cases. As someone who loves Mother Earth, I aim to be as sustainable as possible. I find so much joy in repurposing items instead of being swayed by consumerism.
So, here it is: my real, functional, and eco-friendly BJD faceup workstation. It might not be "Instagram-perfect," but it’s where the magic happens!
