Seeing this painting irl is so life changing!!! It’s at the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin ! & they only show it for one hour , two days out of the week, in a dark room w/ a special light over the work in order to preserve the paint! The work itself is very small, and done only watercolor & gouache, but the pigmentation of it is that of an oil painting. Extremely saturated! And so incredibly detailed, esp considering its done w watercolor/gouache!
