❄️ Twin Stars: Update from the Mods! ❄️
Hello everyone! First and foremost, the mod team wanted to express our sincerest apologies for the lack of communication regarding the zine. We know that our contributors and buyers are awaiting this project and we completely understand the anxiety the quiet may have caused. The mod team for Twin Stars has undergone a some changes due to our initial social media mod forgoing all methods of communication with us, which led the team to have a shaky line of communication with you guys. We have onboarded a new social media mod to help us out. Now to the biggest concern: what is the current status on the zine and what has been the hold-up? Our last public update was in May of last year when the tariffs first began to impact our production process. This led to a downstream delay. Our original manufacturer (Mixam) has been extremely slow to respond and even when they did respond provided many hold-ups during the manufacturing process. Despite our formatting mods best efforts, many issues came up, including printing issues and incongruence with the formatting done for the zine. Even after numerous e-mails and a back and forth with Mixam, the formatting issues we faced were NOT getting resolved and the slow speed of their responses were hindering production. As shown in the screenshots the mod team made the decision to ask for a refund from Mixam and have instead pivoted to a NEW manufacturer.
Now on to some more positive news: after switching manufacturers, we are very excited to say that we JUST received confirmation that our new manu has made the zines and that they've been ordered! The screenshot below shows our latest most updated timeline: 1.5 weeks to produce, then 6-8 weeks to ship!
We understand that the silence from our end as this was occurring has been hard, and once again, the mod team wanted to apologize for the delay in communicating with you all, both buyers and contributors, on the status of the zine. We've also onboarded a new shipping mod who will be assisting us with our new, updated timeline of getting our zines out! Thank you to everyone for your patience. We hope that this thread gave a little clarity and reassured you guys that the team is trying its best to deliver a quality product that everyone deserves.

Hello frosty friends, please come gather around the fire! We are so sorry for the silence on our end, but we are here to give a much overdue update on production.
Our formatting period took longer than expected and as a result we weren't able to get ahead of the tariff situation. Since our mods are US-based, this will affect us a lot as the manufacturers we've been in contact with are China-based, so we've decided to continue production with more caution due to finances.
We apologize for taking this long to make an announcement as we've been discussing our next steps, but we promise to keep you all more informed for the rest of production and hope to have sample images soon!
