Made a demo of how I do drop shadows in Clip Studio for bluesky and thought I’d share here too :3

The only colors I use for the whole picture is black and dark grey as the marker I use is sheer enough I can use pressure to get as many values as I want. For accessories, I find a brush that fits my need, draw it on and then double the layer, filling it in with dark grey and setting to multiply lower the opacity to maybe 70~80%, and then manipulate the shadow with the liquify tool to make sure the shadow bends and curves with the form underneath. The shadow furthest away from the subject I will blur and partly erase to give depth to the shadow.

Hello, my name is Val, and I am a domestic abuse survivor. From 2021 to 2023 I was locked into a DV relationship with my ex-fiancé. It was in this relationship to where I was subject to mental abuse and sexual violence at the hands of my former partner.

I was isolated from my family and any supports I had by my abuser. There was not a moment with him that I ever felt safe, not in worry of what he was going to do to me next. It took months even after our parting for me to stop flinching at the sound of footsteps.

For years I lived like a prisoner at the hands of someone who I had trusted to love me. Fortunately I was able to escape this scenario by the help of my parents. I fled, losing many personal things and my financial stability in the process, but I did make it out.

However, there are many who are not so lucky to have the resources to fall back on to escape. I wanted to be able to help someone in getting a second chance the way I had. That's why I have chosen to fundraise for both these charities in hopes another can have their freedom again.
