I started to draw him mopey, but then I realized my heart couldn’t take it, and Simon’s had enough sad. People who can draw curly hair are magicians, there’s no other way to explain it. I don’t understand.

Fanon pic again! When the lovely and talented @sharkmartini was entertaining the idea of writing a Simon-saves-Baz-from-captivity fanfic, I told her that, if she wrote it, I would draw a scene from it. (In large part because we are both huge “Gran Hotel” fans and love that scene where Julio saves Alicia from her cell in the caves. So good.)

A few days later, she wrote “Truth Will Set You Free” (Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/21459538) and it’s so wonderful I knew I had to make good on my side of the bargain. Here are Simon and Baz climbing their way out of the Catacombs to freedom.
