Seeing Red [ Closed - Red Robin ]
burnsidebabe:
“This is becoming more and more of a mystery, and I’m not close to solving it it” she sighed out, blowing her ginger locks out of her eyes as she placed books back on their shelves. Barbara had been assigned a job at the library here in this city by its…overlords? Seers? It wasn’t explained in that letter in her room.
She had suddenly woke up her, with no memory or reason to why she was here. She couldn’t make contact with Alfred or Bruce, or any of her friends, actually. While she was only a bit worried, she decided to take advantage of her job and try to do some research.
It turned out, that was little help.
As she placed misplaced books into her cart, she accidentally bumped into someone. She didn’t see them at first
“Oh! Excuse me, I apologize for-” she started to say, when she got a good look at his face, she was honestly surprised
“T-Tim? Woah, you’re here?”
Tim had been recovering from the festivities all morning. While he is normally a responsible guy, last night he may have gone a bit overboard on the champagne. And now the stress of encountering Selina have taken its toll on him. He decided it would be necessary to research some of Stella City’s famous artifacts and riches—so that he would know what to look for should anything go mysteriously missing. He searched the internet to some avail, but he decided a visit to the local library would be the best way to find information.
He’d looked into the newspaper projections and was in the process of finding art books specific to Stella City’s history and culture when he felt someone bump into his side. The books cascade from his hand, meeting up with a small collection of books from the other’s arms.
Wait a second. That voice.
“Babs? How are you—” Here? Walking? He had so many questions. “H-how are you doing?”
It really was Tim! She couldn't believe her eyes, but there he was. She pulled him into an embrace, a smile spreading across her face.
"Oh, Tim, it's been so long, hasn't it?" She exclaimed. She hadn't really seen him in awhile, or actually been in Gotham City proper for almost two years now. She had been residing in Burnside, and then started to travel across the world. She let go of him, still sizing him up, happy she had a familiar friend here.
"I guess Bruce, or anyone rather, didn't let you in on the news, huh? Typical. But, it's my fault for not telling you. I thought I would have seen you sooner, honest. And not here...wherever we are. I still haven't figured that out yet."
"How have you been? Last I heard was that you were still heading the Teen Titans. At least as far as my intel goes, ha!" She had retired the Oracle moniker awhile back, but she still had the same habits she had back then.
