Imagine Percy always felt he was a guy. Sally didn’t care, she just wanted him to be happy. She helped him through getting accepted. Percy didn’t even bother telling anyone at camp, because Grover and Chirion had talked all in male pronouns. However, when Percy’s period came, Percy was at camp. He had no clue what to do and he was panicking. He prayed to all the gods, and one replied. Athena. She told him to see Annabeth. Annabeth helped him through, and her crush dissipated. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Percy, it was that she couldn’t handle the process it would take. She still liked him, but it was more platonic then. 

Then, Percy became attracted to Nico, it happened during the summer of Annabeth leading the quest. Nico had grown and Percy was head over heals. No one knew, excepting Grover, due to the empathy link. Grover swore not to tell, and Percy was thankful. Eventually, the two figured out that Nico liked Percy back, and Percy was ecstatic. He didn’t think, he just jumped on Nico and kissed him the next time he saw the son of Hades. Nico was in shock, and Percy had to embarrassingly explain in-front of a crowd of demigods. 

Eventually, a few days later, they were an official couple, and Percy had told Nico about being Trans. Nico was fine with it, simply happy with finding out practically everyone was accepted in the time period. Nico even helped Percy bind and bought Percy his pads.
