South African artist Frances Goodman uses beauty products and accessories, such as acrylic nails and false eyelashes, earrings, pearls, and sequins, to create surreal works of art. For her Lady Garden series Goodman used acrylic nails to create giant flower sculptures. At a glance they just look like huge, vibrant flowers, but the more one notices the nails, the more unsettling the flowers become.
