Okay, sorry if this annoys you but I need to rant about this because it REALLY pisses me off. Don’t say you hate Vegeta because “he always had it easy” or “he’s a pampered prince and is an asshole because of that” because you’re freaking WRONG. If anyone, GOKU is the pampered one, VEGETA was given as a SLAVE to a GENOCIDAL MANIAC when he was FIVE YEARS OLD. He didn’t act like a asshole to everyone because he was some pampered prince, he acted that way because it was literally all he knew. Try to think of it this way: how would YOU feel if you were stuck serving as a slave to the man who murdered your entire family for about twenty years? You’d probably feel more than a little bitter toward everyone else, too. And then imagine some jackass walking in, stealing not only your destiny, but also your chance to kill the bastard and avenge your family. TWICE. If you’re going to hate anything about Vegeta, let it be that Toriyama keeps butchering his character.
I’m sorry, but I really needed to get that out. Not hating on Goku.
I’ve been meaning to translate this for years, but eventually ended up forgetting about it. Fortunately @sarahw-world asked me to translate this a few days ago and thus reminded me of this sweet, little doujinshi drawn by one of my favorite VegeBul artists. ヾ(○ω○)ノ “いい夫婦の日【ベジブル】(Good Couple Day [VegeBul])” by esu. translator ★
Vegeta: Okay, we have to think of a name for him. We can’t just keep calling him “the baby”.
Bulma: You’re right. What about Tarble?
Vegeta: ….. We are not naming our son after my brother.
Bulma: I promised him I would ask.
I want someone to write a fic where Vegeta hunts down Freeza after the tournament of power to take his revenge…(and because, unlike Goku, he knows it’s wrong to let him roam free and is super paranoid he’ll attack Earth)… After a violent battle Freeza spills the beans about Beerus giving the order to destroy Planet Vegeta. This is all I want. Or maybe a story about Freeza going to universe six to enslave the saiyans.. because he’s a monster and would do that. Someone? Anyone? I wish I had talent. :(
Super is Over…
Welp, it’s over. For now, I guess, until a new series picks up where it left off in another year or two.
I can’t say I’m not disappointed with how it ended. I was hoping for a better wrap-up than an ending montage, but whatever. On top of that, for me, it just feels like we got another shitty tournament saga that was just unnecessary, and that its only point was to introduce a ton of new characters and a new form for marketing. When can we have an interesting storyline again?
When I first started watching DBZ, I had NO plans to watch the whole series. I just happened to be flipping channels and it happened to be on. I was like, “Huh, a lit of guys at school used to like this. I’m gonna watch it just to see what it’s about.” And two episodes into the Namek saga, I was absolutely hooked.
It’s unfortunate that the new content in the DB universe isn’t as captivating, and if I had started watching from any point in DBS, I would likely have dismissed the series. And I’m not saying that anyone would or should begin watching DBS before the original shows, I’m just saying. I hope the next movie or the next saga takes notes from worthwhile DB sagas. With story, adventure, mystery, character development. I mean, I even liked the Goku Black saga. It kept me wanting to know more. It brought back a beloved character, introduced a new couple, new things in the alternate timeline, new and mysterious viillains with an interesting motive.
I’m just done with tournaments. Please no more. The predictability is painful, there is zero depth, and there’s really nothing there to keep me watching. To be honest, I quit watching the debuts and just wait for the gifs and summaries. It just seems like a waste of time to watch anymore.
I’m just hopeful that the new movie will be more rich with backstory, adventure, mystery. Something that will hook the audience and even pique the interest of new fans. Nowadays that is asking a LOT, and I almost kind of want to have Toei in on the writing more. They do pretty well with story, but we know how abusive they are of characters other than Goku. If they went that route, we might as well forget seeing love for any other character besides him.
Come on, Toei and AT! Show us where Super’s budget went and blow our minds with the new movie! Please be good!
i dont have the time to do this nicely.. but i have Opinions about the end of super
imma keep it real w u @shomangaka i completely forgot about that part lmao
SOMEONE FINALLY FUCKIN SAID IT
Oh my God, for real. I can’t believe more people aren’t upset about this.
Excellent! Your art cures my deep disappointment, thank you !
Poor king kai
Don’t trust Goku
I feel so bad for him… :(
fast VegeBul sketch for Dragon Ball Super ending.
[Hercule takes credit for Buu’s defeat]
Vegeta: THAT’S IT, HE’S DEAD!
Piccolo: *grabbing Vegeta’s arm* Vegeta-
Vegeta: Let me go, Namek!
Piccolo: Vegeta! Let this go. He isn’t worth the jail time.
Annoying Fact #1
Vegeta is supposedly one of Akira Toriyama’s least favorite characters and was initially supposed to be only a one-arc villain, but fans demanded his return, and Toriyama ablidged, only to attempt to permanently kill him off in the Frieza saga.
He killed Vegeta in response to a huge number of fan letters begging him not to kill Vegeta. Bastard.
