This is a really powerful moment of Claire.

I actually rewatched this scene the other day from “La Dame Blanche”—and I remember noticing how vulnerable Claire looks here.

Jamie has just exposed the deepest caverns of his despair to her. He’s confessed the depth of his agony. He has been slowly suffocating since Wentworth. And he has no idea how to restore himself—he’s utterly lost.

And here is Claire…

Staring after the love of her life as he leaves the room because he’s decided to sleep separately from her this evening.

This is the look on her face as it’s happening—there’s a tinge of anger, but beyond the surface, you see fear.

Fear for her husband. Fear for what he’s been through. Fear for if this pain is beyond even her depth to fix.

But then, moments later, she tears through the literal and metaphorical wall he’s put between them and through her love, she heals all his wounds.
