► reblog to let your mutuals know that...
YOUR RP BLOG IS NOT TIME-SENSITIVE!
...That there is NO time limit or expiration date on asks, memes or threads.
...That your partners NEVER need to feel they have to apologise for not responding to a thread or ask yet.
...That you welcome replies to "OLD" threads and memes, even if they've been sitting quietly untouched for weeks or months.
...That there is NEVER any pressure or obligation for your partners to reply until they feel the drive and enthusiasm to do so.
...That YOU will happily respond to things at YOUR OWN leisure, and you would like your partners to feel comfortable doing the same.
Not everybody enjoys running their blog this way and that's a-okay. But removing the idea that RP interactions are something that can "expire" or that the asks in your inbox have an unspoken "due-date", takes the pressure off of both your partners and yourself and can help bust feelings of stress/anxiety from the hobby. Reblog to let your partners know that you're just jazzed to receive new writing from them, whenever it comes.
The sudden feeling of wrongness can be felt. It's suffocating and unpleasant and frankly could best be described as the mixed feeling of dread and... disgust. Something that has been bleeding from a hole where its eye should be has been sitting on the couch in your place. There is somehow no blood on the floor.
"Ah… so you're the one the little contraction wished to invite."
[OOC]
Excuse the delays but well i did finally get around to paying that visite
Johnny had briefly stepped out of the living room to go do God knows what elsewhere in the apartment, so when he came back in and saw another random guy sitting on his couch, he nearly freaked out.
"Another break in?" He joked. "Do any of you know how to knock?"
Something about this... person(?) was off putting. Gross, to put it simply. Johnny didn't quite know what to think of it. He stared at the hole in its face.
"The what wanted to do what?"
Contradiction, what an odd name. He wondered who hole guy over here was referring to.
"I don't know if you've heard, but I've had enough of being invited to freaky companies for a lifetime. Why are you here?"
He was being blunt. He wanted to get straight to the point.
The man grinned at that pointing rather casually at the clean hole through his eye.
"I was going to knock, but then well, the Agent who kept an eye on this dann place shot me in the head, and I was not particularly feeling like grabbing a new crops."
It's one eye tracked to Johnny, causing a small feeling of discomfort.
"I was just feeling like sharing stories. Immortals got tons of stories, mostly bad ones."
He chuckles
"And sorry for one of my more recent hires drugging you. It's quite hard to keep track of everyone."
"Oh, Alto? Yeah, he's like that. Did you wait til he left?" He sounded amused. Johnny pulled up a chair and sat down across from the corpse the other person.
The discomfort radiating off of the other was damn near nauseating, but Johnny had been through far worse situations. A little discomfort was fine.
"If it's, uh, stories you're after, I'm afraid you might be out of luck. My memory isn't what it used to be, you know?"
He shrugged at the apology.
"It's whatever. As long as they don't hand that information out to anybody else, I don't even care."
A lie. He did care, a lot.
"Would you like a drink? I have beer and tap water. That's about it."
"Brought my own, whisky mixed with blood of a dead God. Honestly, it is still impressive that "curator" manages to make normal drinks have taste for my people."
he takes out a silver flask and drinks a bit.
"Considering that i know your story, I feel it's only fare to share mine. Considering the unpleasant similarities between both."
He drops some black liquid into the eye hole causing it to fill out with said liquid instantly
"I am VERY familiar with how Clef is... and if I wasn't this damn forgiving, I would hold some of the shit against him."
He pauses a tiny second before asking
"BTW I hope you don't know this corpse, i am asking because I fucked that up last time and traumatized some a doctor, without actually planning too."
"Oh... interesting." Johnny didn't drink blood, so he wasn't quite sure how interesting that actually was. "You have fun with that."
He continued to stare during the weird eye drop process, observing, analyzing. Filing this information away for later. For a man who said his memory was shit, he seemed awfully reliant on it.
"Any corpse I'd recognize is back at the company, or whatever. Packed up in the old HR office like sardines. Don't worry." He appeared disgusted, for a moment. "Anyway, if you want to talk, go ahead and talk. I'm listening."
The creature narrows its eyes before its expression shifts from casual to something else. More focused
"You and Clef really are more alike than I thought; you both manage to be insulting and insufferable in ways that make me genuinely glad I left my anger in Deadman."
The feeling of discomfort was not met with a sense of increased gravity; the weight was slowly getting worse.
"Now let me properly introduce myself. The name is R[a sudden static noise overlays the words] Core and Founder of the void. It's truly almost a pleasure to meet you."
The shadow of the creature keeps stretching and growing, both larger and quite a bit more unnatural, expanding in every possible way. Many news arms and… what seems to be faintly purple glowing eyes join the shadow.
"Now I am VERY interested in what made the God of Contradictions suddenly interested in preserving you? I doubt it would just be your cult origins and tragic backstory, right?"
[OOC]
Congrats on being the 3rd person to tilt him; at this rate the next person may be murdered
Nothing to be sorry about. I can finally get him to be justifiably upset with someone.
"Why, thank you." He knew he should probably be worried about pissing someone like this off, but it really only made him smile. He'd gained a mean streak during his time at the company. As long as he was the one in control, he enjoyed it.
What he didn't enjoy was the odd heaviness in the room. It reminded Johnny of the boss, in a way. The boss wants you to go back, Johnny.
Don't think about it.
Johnny tilted his head at the introduction, smiling as if he found this hilarious. The founder, of all people? Come to visit little old him? He had to repress the urge to laugh. "That's so interesting! It's nice to–"
His expression dropped from a smile into something that looked a little more like fear, not that he'd ever admit it. Of course this guy was also some kind of terrifying creature in human skin. Again, it reminded him of the boss. Johnny grit his teeth and tried to relax. "It's nice to meet you."
Finally, it got to the fucking point.
Johnny feigned innocence at the question. A god, of all things, was interested in him? That was news to Johnny. He supposed this could be related to the break in, but that guy looked more like an angel than a god, and we all know who the real god is, right? He ignored the whispering in the back of his mind. Not now.
"I'm interested in that too," he leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms behind his head, pretending everything was fine and that he was perfectly relaxed. He'd plastered that sharp-teethed smile back onto his face. "A god, you say? You have to be joking."
The sudden feeling of wrongness can be felt. It's suffocating and unpleasant and frankly could best be described as the mixed feeling of dread and... disgust. Something that has been bleeding from a hole where its eye should be has been sitting on the couch in your place. There is somehow no blood on the floor.

Wonder who could’ve broken in… If you find out, let me know, alright? You might wanna make a plan incase it does happen again. Could just kill them. Use like, a crowbar or something. A gun I’m sure your roommate has lying around? Hands like yours might not be too good for it, but I’m sure you’d manage!
Yes, you're right, I could just kill them next time, although it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I am in possession of a few different weapons. Not completely defenseless, don't worry. Safety is uh, my main priority, you know. Thanks for the advice, and the beers, by the way.
I get that, of course I do. Have you thought about getting like, sensors or anything? An alarm that can tell you when someone’s at the door? Ideally one that can recognise your face. Don’t worry too much about it though, one break in is probably all you’re gonna get. Tell your roommate if you do get it though, that seems like something he’d need to know.
My roommate has cameras installed. Why he needs so many, I'll never know, but they've come in handy so far. Shouldn't have just relied on them, though. I will let him know to purchase these things. Tell him how worried I am, maybe.
He didn't really believe me when I tried earlier, no thanks to the fact the individual who broke in was fucking invisible, but maybe he'll take pity...
I feel like it’s good to have a little privacy, to be fair. If you tell too many people, then it might get back around to the person who broke in. Right?
