Noriko’s eyes widened and then squinted. The way he spoke ... did he think she WAS the Gunbuster rather than its pilot? She supposed that might make sense from his perspective given his size... maybe everyone where he was from was this big. That was a bit of a harrowing thought.

“So be it,” She gulped, brows furrowing. The mono-eye of Gunbuster gazed down at the sword. If he plunged that through her machine weapon she’d be in big trouble depending on where it landed. If she ended up having to eject she’d be as good as dead. The Gunbuster jumped backwards, fists balled before she unclenched them once more, “Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance to back off!”

“Buster.... MISSILE!” The fingers of the machine’s hands unleashed a volley of missiles in the monster’s direction.

‘What in the world is that?’ Noriko’s heart thumped in her chest at the sight of the behemoth. Of all the times to not have Kazumi by her side... A weird giant monster straight out of one of her tokusatsus had to pick now to show up. She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t both excited and terrified at the prospect. It felt a bit like a sentai... There would be no zipper on the back of this monster though and she knew better than to take this any less than a hundred percent seriously. 

“The Gunbuster isn’t just some hunk of metal you can insult,” Noriko’s arms folded and the Gunbuster’s folded with them, “Leave in peace now or I’ll make you regret challenging me!” She jabbed a metallic finger in the beast’s direction.
