Addressing Concerns - [Nathaniel and Gamlen]
Gamlen had been sent to the old apartment to pack, but he’d only cleared out the bathroom cabinet before falling—as he was wont to do—into a task-distracting fit of cleaning.
He’d just spent ten minutes putting some elbow grease to a persistent coarseness on the floor behind the toilet—which he was beginning to think was just the floor itself—when there was a knock at the door.
Somehow he knew it was Nathaniel. It had been Nathaniel the last time he’d been mid-cleaning that place only to be interrupted.
He pushed to his stocking feet and padded to the door, answering it with sudsy scrub brush still clutched in one shiny yellow-gloved hand. He raised slate brows at the surprisingly uniformed man on the stoop and turned his head to scratch his cheek with his shoulder, eyes rolling along Nathaniel’s attire before making their way back up to find a reciprocating stare.
"Buttons or snaps?" he asked, nodding with eyes on what appeared to be buttons on the chest of Nathaniel’s uniform jacket. "Because I would hate for you to make the mistake of so many real buttons if you’re new to the stripping gig."
Nathaniel was unsurprised when Amell opened the door. He'd never come to see Elissa and had the woman answer the door herself. Why should today be any different?
"Funny." He said, though tone and expression relayed he was in no way amused by the suggestion. "Uniform's real, not costume. Safe to assume the buttons are real as well. May I?"
The archer tilted his head toward the doorway, sighed when Amell 'thought it over', and stepped through when the man finally saw fit to move aside enough to allow him entry.
The inside of the apartment was filled with a hedge-maze of boxes, no less messy than Elissa's usual labyrinth of book towers but a clear sign that much had changed in his time within the Warden compound.
"She's moving." It was a statement, not a question. "And she's not even here."
He sighed and rubbed at his temples. "I don't suppose you would tell me where I can find her? I need to speak with her about the uniform, among other things."
