So i go to the cinema to see "Spider-man: Brand New Day" (good shit, reccomended), and i saw there the only one "Avengers: Doomsday" trailer i ever saw. And it looks shit. Dogshit even. Bad. Just.
Like, i got kinda excited to see some of these characters again, like Gambit, Shang-Chi, cherik, Thor and Loki, Doctor Strange, overall wakandans, but at the end of the day... eh. I don't even remember who they we're fighting or what they we're doing, except Thor being way too dramatic about new threat. You're not gonna convince me that Mr Doom is that scary. Mostly because i don't even know what's his whole deal is. xD Like, he's a very smart mad scientist or something? Like, he's using science to do crime and evil? Like, he used science to stop Stormbreaker with two fingers, that probably should me go "oh shit", but eh? Like, he's apparently very jealous of Mr Fantasctic because he's a bit smarter than him? I don't knowww.

Bedtime stories that keep you up at night till 1 - 2 am.
So, bros and dudes be like "Master of the Universe" is like "Barbie" for men", which is... no, MotU is not at all like "Barbie". Well, except maybe being a tons of fun.
Firstly, while "Barbie" isn't that deep, it's actually saying something and making a commentary. Yea, it was something like "baby first steps into feminism", but it was here, all over the movie, from start to finish. While MotU is just pretty mindless fun. There are some hints at making some light statements about masculinity, but through Kens and being kenough "Barbie" made way deeper commentary abut that that whole He-man movie. Duncan and Adam are having kinda nonsensical conversation what is REAL man supposed to do while being attacked, and at one point Skeletor is like "i'm gonna show you how REAL men are doing this" and everyone is constantly disappointed in Adam, but... eh, it's just sprinkled here and there. Yea, Adam is soft and nice and likes to talk problems through and, unlike previous champions of Greyskull, he brought compassion to the power, but that's just... is here. It's not that deep. He's like that just because he is like that, from the start. We don't see him growing up and being raised to be like that. He's just failing at being traditionally masculine just because. Don't get me wrong, having a soft male protagonist is great and all. So, being a rather shallow movie is not a bad thing. Not everything need to be deep and meaningful and oh, look at the problem. Sometimes just being fun in enough. And it is a good movie. But this show how bros and dudes are engaging with media. And they're engaing poorly. Media literacy worse than mine - pretty oblivious dumbass.
Secondly, Jared Leto? Jared fucking Leto?! Wha? What? Buh? Bruh? What's happening? It's, like, good? Good?! Jared Leto and good?! Like, i don't know how they created Skeletor, was Jared Leto sauntering in motion capture suit on movie set? Was he only voicing the character? How much did they changes hos voice in post production? What's going on?!
Third... ly? Go and watch "Master of the Universe". I want a sequeal about Adora and Hordak.
