In season 10 of 9-1-1 they should abandon realism and kick off the season by releasing an omegaverse virus in LA to give them access to a whole new world of relationship drama. They should stop the virus by the end of the season so it doesn't extend out of the city so it ONLY affects 9-1-1 and not 9-1-1 Nashville or any other show. Buck should be an omega.

I just saw a post that claimed the origin of the term "squick" was a portmanteau of "squeamish" and "ick" and while I can absolutely believe there are multiple origins and convergent evolution and all that jazz for a term so useful, I am absolutely appalled that people will think that's actually the main origin.

It's an onomatopoeia for the sound of someone fucking the eye socket of a skull. Which understandably was a concept a lot of people found uncomfortable, and so it became more generalized for "wow that makes me uncomfortable."

I know Urban Dictionary is far from the most reliable source but there are *multiple* similar origin/definitions all submitted around 20 years ago.

what really fucks me up about watching the truman show in 2025 is how it's not fictional. truman is fictional, but the truman show isn't.

there's thousands of truman shows. you find them on youtube, tiktok, instagram... family and mommy vloggers, sad beige moms and now the trend of neglectful moms showing the "reality" of parenting. all of them using their kids for entertainment. each child their own truman; living a life manufactured by their parents, a camera watching their every moment, broadcasted for the entire world to see.
