He's both! Her pronouns are he/she but he does lean toward using masculine terms like "brother"

Sooo what's the relationship between Cibil and the twins

Cybil is older than them by about 6 years. She wasn't all that thrilled when their eggs arrived, she was accustomed to having their parents' complete attention and the idea of sharing wasn't appealing to her. River and Creek on the other hand, were obsessed with her. Constantly following her around, getting into her things, crying when she had to go to school, demanding her attention. They thought she was the coolest thing since sliced bread. They eventually grow on her in the months after they're born.

As they got older and lost one of heir parents, things started to shift. With their mom dealing with her grief by throwing herself into supporting the village after the escape, her children's emotional well-being was neglected. They weren't physically neglected or abused but their emotional needs weren't supported the way they should've been. Cybil took on responsibility for teaching them things, helping them with school, being there for them when they were down. As well as a parentified teenager could anyway. Their relationship takes a bit of a dive once River and Creek hit their teens and Cybil early adulthood, but it gets better.

In the present, River and Creek are independent, but they still think of Cybil as the coolest person they know. Although River is more honest about it than Creek is. Cybil has her own life, but still tends to look after them much the way a parent would for their adult children. It's not uncommon for them to sleep over at each other's pods.

I have to say, I never thought people would actually send me asks about River and I am living for the fact that people are interested enough to ask me questions about him, I love it keep it coming if you got em I promise I'll get to it eventually, I just have So Many Thoughts and not enough time to write them down /gen /pos

So how was river and his family reaction to creek's betrayal?

Oof, it was not pretty. They're conjoined, so River was caught with Creek and taken to Bergen Town too. When Chef feeds Creek to King Gristle, she severs their hair from each other and leaves River in the cage with the others.

When they finally get to Creek, River is confused at first then horrified. Creek sees this and makes a comment along the lines of "I appreciate that this kind of thing is hard for you to understand, but you know that everything I've ever done has been what's best for you."

River swings hard into denial for the time they're in the cage, believing that Creek is stalling, and it's only until the rest of trolls are dumped into the pot that he is forced to accept that his brother betrayed them and turns gray with everyone else. Unlike everyone else though, she stays gray. (I haven't decided yet if he regains his colors. with everyone else and loses them again later or stays gray entirely)

Cybil stayed in Branch's bunker and was lured out with everyone else. She barely had time to process the betrayal before getting snatched up with the others. For a few long hours, she has a terrifying feeling that River is dead. Why else would she not have seen her with Creek? She is so relieved when she finds River in the pot, and she choses to bury her feelings about Creek's betrayal in favor of looking out for her youngest sibling.

I haven't decided yet if their mom is still alive at the time of the movie, but I can say that their mom was the type of woman with strong sense of responsibility to her community. She would also have chosen to bury her feelings about her son's betrayal in favor of supporting the village in the aftermath of being discovered and inadvertently neglect her other children's emotions.

Wind Breeze is.... a harder case. I haven't decided if she attends the party and stays in the bunker or remains in her home. And she has all those crystals showing her what goes on in the village, so she might've seen Creek betray them without actually getting caught. In any case, she's a very emotionally steady person and whatever turmoil she feels about Creek's betrayal, she choses to process in private.

Sooo what's River stand about Branch?

It depends on the place in time we're talking about. Pre-Trolls 1, River doesn't really think much of Branch aside from "that guy that shows up to warn us about the bergens sometimes." To be fair, Branch doesn't think much of River either besides "Creek's much less annoying twin." River did tend to push back when his brother would talk negatively about him, but there weren't many opportunities for them to get to know each other without Creek also there coloring the interaction.

They do grow closer after the events of the first movie though.
